This company are a rip off and very unprofessional. Not only do they cancel on you the day before the surveyor is supposed to be coming to your property, but they do not refund your money. They informed me I had to wait 2MONTHS for a refund. It has now been 7 weeks and I have not yet received the money I paid for a surveyor ( who hasn't even carried out a survey at my property) to be put back into my bank account. Not only have I called them but I visited their office to get my money and their office was closed for four days, so could not make contact. I paid by BACS payment, working in a bank myself I know that they can refund the money that day and I will receive it within minutes. They are a rip off, and I would advise anyone looking for a Home Report to stay clear of this company!

For businesses, the person responsible is often assigned the role (maintenance managers etc). Again, they are responsible for ensuring standard health and safety are enforced but do not have to carry-out the assessment themselves. Instead, they can opt for a Legionella management company to oversee the assessment.

In the UK alone, there are approximately 200-250 reported and confirmed cases of Legionnaires’ disease each year, and Gov claim that it is likely that the total number of cases may be underestimated. While it’s easy to blame landlords and commercial property managers (or whoever assumes the role), Govt. reluctance to enforce Legionella compliance nationwide also shoulders the blame.

Failure to comply with the legislation will result in fines and the potential closure of the property as well as endangering the health and safety of the tenants and occupants (this can be fatal).
