Avoid at all costs. My wife and I were naive when we allowed Wendy Hansel to act as an agent for both us (buyers) and the sellers of a new home purchase. Soon after closing we came to several realizations:
1. There were many hidded problems with the home, some serious which we believe the agent was aware of.
2. We paid too much for the property. Likely resulting in the agents greed and unethical position of being dual agent. A true buyer's agent would have negotiated a lower price.
3. The agent never discussed the many issues of the home which would make for a difficult resell. We have since sold the home and had to take over a $20, 000 loss.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
As to the unsatisfied buyers :
That’s on you if you overpaid!
That’s on you if there were problems as those would have been revealed in the home inspection!
That’s on you if you sold for $20k less than what you should have!
Sounds like you were not happy with the home from the beginning and trying to justify your dissatisfaction by blaming someone else!
Simply do the right thing and apologize to Wendy and move on!
Wendy Hansel has represented me in 3 real estate transactions, 2 of purchasing and 1 of selling dating back to 1997. I mentioned Wendy in a Clintonville Newsletter and noted her professionalism and her desire to find me a house that best suited me in price, location and size. I was 100% pleased in that she accomplished exactly those criteria and would continue to have Wendy represent me in real estate transactions, whether buying or selling. I mentioned in the 1997 article that Wendy was very good in her profession and quoted that she is “the Michael Jordan of real estate.”

Wendy Hansel harrasses and threatens her neighbors and acts like an uncivilized loon. Her neighbors had to seek police protection and legal action against her after her repeated, unprovoked, unjustified and continous harassment upon them. At best, she is unprofessional; worse case, she suffers from mental illness/substance abuse addiction. There is no other outwardly explanation for her odd and visous behavior. As a result of her harrassment, she now has a criminal record regarding the matter in Worthington, Ohio. Beware.
This complaint is a total fabrication. Wendy Hansel is an amazing realtor and totally reliable in everyway. She has a multitude of grateful
clients who have vastly benefited from her expertise and wisdom. Her honesty is above reproach. This complaint is disgraceful.
This is absolutely untrue and slanderous! There is no mention of address, list price, sale price and what problems there were. Buyers have every opportunity to have any inspection and terminate the contract if they are not happy with the condition. No one forced them to purchase a property. There is no way for an agent to have knowledge of any latent defects.
