I was DISENTITLED benefits for saying that I may want to start my own company if cannot find employment. Then was told to go to social assistance to seek income. What a country.

My application for EI has not been processed after two months. The agent couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation. This is not my first time applying though. It never happened before. When I went to service Canada center, I saw a whole bunch of new people working there. I met three agents at different times. Non could give me a logic why my application is missing! I even had my confirmation number of my application. Yet it didn’t matter to those agent. My impression was nobody actually knew what caused this delay, and how to solve similar ones. They seemed to me very confused and unskilled and irresponsible and insensitive at the same time. I have never encountered such mess in service Canada before. Finally they asked me to te apply it again. That means at least another month waiting to receive their response. If there is one. Plus, when I go to my service Canada account, for unknown reasons it did not let me log in either. My conclusion: neither the electronic system, nor the human resource in person works properly in this country after pandemic. They seem all asleep and honestly, I think this is due partly to lack of personnel, and partly due to hiring new people bested on their skin color, their gender or their ethnic background, rather than their efficacy or skills.

I agree! Something's going on! I got a notice that there was a mistake on my file from 2013. I work with the school Board so sometimes there's a miscalculation in vacation benefits. And due to the fact it was back in 2013 anything could have happened. Called and spoke to an agent who instructed me to just explain what might have happened. Did that & mailed it in. Once that was filed I get another notice that there was a mistake from the previous year and they were saying I owed $2600.00. 2013 wasn't even an issue anymore! I began paying it, because if you don't they charge you $200 a month in interest. Plan on going down to their office today to settle this. Both my account and the director of my schools union advised me to investigate this again. My union director told me was made aware of other cases like mine. There's fraud going on in EI and it ain't with the claimants! Beware people when you file for benefits!

I've been waiting for Service Canada to make a decision on my employment insurance for almost two months. My case is pretty straightforward - I worked full time during the last year and paid my taxes and deductions timely (and due to this Service Canada employees get paid their salaries).
I've been getting messages from Service Canada that my claim is being processed all this time. When 42 days passed since I filed my claim I called Service Canada to talk to an agent. The agent tried to find some reason for delay that didn't make any sense to me and at the end she said they will look at my case in next 7 business days...
At this point I realized, that they either lack mental capacity or there's something else going on...(perhaps discrimination).
I already complained to the Office of Customer Satisfaction [protected]), but I don't feel it was enough and want to escalate this - to file complaint to every relevant body and perhaps to launch an investigation into their work practices...
The next level to file a complaint will be the Canadian Human Rights Commission. I would encourage anybody who has similar experience to do this. These people at Service Canada should be kept accountable for their work. If they are not capable or unprofessional they should be fired! I'm sure there are thousands of people who would do this claim processing job better.

Im was on baby leave, until my girl was 3 months and then they stop. They said I have to reply again to fix it. They also said it wouldn't take long because my information is already in their system. Well it been a month and a half now and still no money. They don't know when I will ever get it. I can't believe they are leaving a single mother this long without money
