This is a complaint against an Installer:
Satellite JOY (Telefusion Services cc) Durban KZN

Satellite JOY (Telefusion Services cc) Durban KZN, was called out on Monday 19/06/2016 about 12 PM, to investigate a bad signal problem at a residence in Westville ( Konigkramer Ave.)
The Technician replaced the satellite dish and receiver, and was on site for about 30 minutes.
The amount that was charged came to a total of R2480.00!
This is very CLEARLY and exorbitant amount and the customer was unfairly overcharged. www.satellitejoy.co.za offers a pensioner discount, which was also not mentioned to the customer.

As per Satellite JOY invoice (attached):
1 x Mild steel dish = R1500.00
1 x Single receiver = R280.00
1x Labour = R700.00 (time on site 30minutes)

It would have been more cost effective for the customer to buy a brand new DSTV decoder with installation for R599. The cost of a 90cm Mild Steel Dish kit is about R700. Satellite Joy DOUBLE charged for the dish!
The labour fees of R700 for being on-site for 30 mintues is disgustingly overpriced as well.

The customer is elderly and was desperate and did not know better. Satellite JOY took advantage of this and grossly overcharged the unsuspecting customer.

Please can Satellite JOY be investigated to avoid future customers from being blatantly robbed by unsavoury installers.

Thank you kindly

I feel truly unhappy with the service I received from the company Satelite Joy or as per the invoice Television Services cc. What I find amazing a simple task to connect a decoder again turned into a nightmare. Firstly I was shown no photos that the receiver on the dish that was faulty or compromised . The fact is that it never was since the DSTV worked perfectly. I accepted this in good faith since they are the experts. Which i truely doubt. Then on the second return the dish is now warp. Why was this not noted on the first round. I was then given the prices for the new dish and thetechnicians left. Then in 5 minutes they are back climbing the roof firstly without my permission or explanation. Then the quality of the signal could be bettered why not the first time round. Further what I find amazing and strange is why before I am provided with an invoice everytime the technician left the appartment then come back with an amount. This was the first round. Then on the second visit since they noted they will not get any more money, they go down stairs then come with this story of an warped dish. Then given a price of 450 when i talked to a person by the name of Don then i could give them R100 if i had it which if you should know i had the amount to pay. Again I was shown no proof and also nothing was discussed with me since I feel that since they are the experts this so called fault should have been noted on the first visit. Also of concern is that the sinal strenght and quality that you now claim to be the issue due to the warped dish was never tested or shown to me after the new part was fitted. The error is with the connection with the decoder which was worked before the first visit. I am requesting them to come yourself to sort the problem and not send juniors who on the first visit ask me for a job vacancy since the pay is not much. I therefore give you a fair opportunity to do what is right. Threats like I will take further steps to ensure that the they honour the guarantee given falls on desf ears. Don have now used every excuse in the book. The problem have not been solved which was reported to you within the 30 days period or even as per your invoice 6 months and the written guarantee of 12 months on the device. I will appreciate them to fix it or pay back the 1400. Kind regards. Tobias Henge.

Telefusion are con artists.
This is an installation they just did recently.
For the record, they are not DSTV accredited. This is an installation of Dish only, (cost of dish is R300.00 + Telefusion's markup).
Ran the cable across the top of the roof, did NOT secure the cable.
Disgusting, poor, poor workmanship.
