Where to begin with this scam of a company?! For starters, the ADT system that I have is pure trash and Safe Havens customer service reps have the intelligence of angry dogs! To make matters worse when you call they refuse to escalate your issues, resulting in you never being able to speak with a manager! The only options you ever have are to disconnect the call because they simply sit there and repeat themselves. They are inconsiderate, incompetent, and don’t care about your experience overall. To top it off the installation manager is a pathological lier willing to do anything and everything to cover himself (i.e. Josh)! I regret the day that I decided to have this piece of trash installed. The major issue right now is that one of the main functions “arm away” doesn’t work properly. When you arm it as away, it will count down and arm itself but at random will disarm itself leaving your belongings within your home at risk for being robbed! Since installation occurred in June, I have had almost 10 service techs come to my home because the system doesn’t work properly based on lack of knowledge around how to install the system in lieu of the system not functioning properly. Not to mention their technicians are not licensed electricians furthering increasing the risk of your equipment not being installed correctly. One of their techs literally left wires exposed attached to the security system transponder which plugs into the wall and when I had a licensed/and trained electrician come out to install my living room TV he noticed the exposed wires immediately and stated that “leaving wires exposed is against the Maryland state electrical code”. In typical “Josh” fashion when the issue was reported he came out to my home and downplayed it stating that the “wires were low voltage and nothing would happen if I would have left the wires exposed”. Wtf?! Why would I want anyone to install equipment in my home especially a security system if they are not a licensed electrician?! How do I know they are installing it correctly. Because I have had so many service calls, I was told by the supervisor (i.e. Josh) to call him and he would get me scheduled, however when I call and text he doesn’t answer and when he does answer it is sporadic. When he came to my home about a month ago after I filed my (BBB) Better Business Bureau complaint, he verbally advised “that I would need to provide proof that the system wasn’t functioning properly since he wasn’t able to duplicate the reported problem, and once I provided proof he would notate in the system that the system is malfunctioning and this would serve as proof for me to cancel the contract without penalty”. However, I provided the video to Josh about a week ago via text and found out today that he didn’t keep his word and only documented a portion of what we discussed, basically lying in my face when he was at my home. And then the person that I spoke with today (i.e. Deanna) wasn’t any better and literally had the intelligence of a drunk telitubi, refusing to escalate the call to her manager or supervisor stating “she was not able to escalate because everything she provided/or stated was by the contract”?! Then proceeds to tell me she can’t cancel my contract until I pay the early termination fee of $1,400? This is another example of deception in tandem with willful and deliberate force regarding a customers choice to end their contract. Wtf?! What legit company allows customer service reps to refuse to escalate calls or allows them to use force!? Only this one, because it’s one big scam. It definitely reflects poorly and shows that staying in business must be a struggle for this company because even ADT Corporate was begging me not to cancel and even shared that they are “embarrassed” to hear the reported issues that I shared! Talk about having a trusting relationship with your business partner! Then when I confronted Josh via text about him lying about being able to get out of the contract without penalty in typical “Josh” fashion he didn’t respond. Josh definitely is not the brightest crayon in the box considering he openly admitted via text that “he had never seen an alarm system malfunction the way that my system is, and would document this in my account” however, because he responded via text I now have proof that Safe Haven unlawfully forces customers to remain in their contracts even when their cheap faulty equipment doesn’t work properly; which is against the law. To ensure that these idiots do not continue to get money for equipment and service that is well below acceptable, I filed complaints with the (BBB) Better Business Bureau, (FTC) Federal Trade Commission, had my bank place a stop payment on my account for ADT, unplugged my security system since it isn’t working correctly, filed a dispute with my bank for ADT Services dating back to August 2023, and had ADT Corporate submit a request for cancellation. My next steps will be to initiate a small claims case at the Prince George’s Courthouse for fraud, force, coercion, and deceptive practice in lieu of allowing their field agents to use predatory practices by walking around communities from door to door soliciting services and exploiting that they are ADT when in reality they are a third party vendor which offers piss poor options when compared to ADT CorporateSecurity Services! ADT Corporate told me if I changed my mind, I could get security services through them because they would be able to provide a better experience than the third party vendor (i.e. Safe Haven Security Services). I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! IT HAS BEEN BEYOND EXHAUSTING HAVING TO GO BACK AND FORTH AND CONSTANTLY BRING LIED TO, OR HAVING TO DEAL WITH SAFE HAVEN’S ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS!

Claimed loss: $268

Desired outcome: $0 required to cancel my contract!
