RiteWay Mortgages review: Honesty 3

Do not use RiteWay Mortgages. Riteway Mortgages is a subsidiary of Manhattan Financial Group. They are a typical “yes” company. I went way out of my way to question them about every aspect of my loan prior to applying to ensure that it could be done and without added cost. My loan was more complex that others as I have a number of rentals. To each question I got an unequivocal “Yes, we can do it”. “No problem, we can still do it.”. I had heard of companies that just wanted to get your information regardless of what was best for the customer only to bring up issues that would either render them unable to process the loan or only able to with additional cost at a point when the customer felt like they were compelled to see it through due to already having gone so far into the process and went way out of my way to avoid that situation. RiteWay won my business by assuring me that everything was fine and that using them would be “easy” because they were a direct lender and do their own underwriting. Not the case. Their customer service is terrible, they made numerous errors and false statements, and they took no responsibility for any of it with so much as an apology or admission of error until I made it clear that I would be posting my experience on public forums. Run don’t walk away from this company! If it sounds too good to be true, it is!
