Ridge Meadows Music and Lessons review: Non-disclosure of Criminal Record for Violence & Misrepresentation of Credentials 7

In my original complaint, I wrote the following:

"He states that he has numerous credentials such as ARCT, LRAM and Bachelor of Music - this is quite possibly a lie but remains an unknown."

I now write to update this statement in accordance with what I have now learned regarding Mr. Bowen's credentials, as follows:

RE: ARCT

The Royal Conservatory of Toronto has advised that they show NO RECORD OF PETER TREHARNE BOWEN ever being examined there and they further stated that a person would have to pass a minimum of twelve (12) examinations to acquire an ARCT.

RE: LRAM

The Royal Academy of Music in London advises that all of their students MUST attend in London, England and that they also show NO RECORD OF PETER TREHARNE BOWEN ever attending to receive their "LRAM".

The Royal Conservatory in Toronto DOES offer an "LRCM" but ONLY to pianists and NOT to violinists.

We are still waiting for our query to be answered regarding his alleged Bachelor in Music Performance.

Well folks... At least we know that Mr. Bowen is paying attention to these reports. He has now taken the Royal Conservatory emblem off of his home page on his "Ridge Meadows Music and Lessons" site and he has taken his fabrications about having his LRAM and ARCT off of his "About Me" page on the site as well.

He has NOT corrected his statement that he has taught music for the last 25 years also on his "About Me" page. He has also not corrected his statement that he was with the Kamloops Symphony for "a couple of years"... Again, he played for about 6 nights with them before they fired him.

Elsewhere, such as on his Google profile, he continues to contend that he has his LRAM and ARCT.

I will update again when I find out whether or not he ever got a Bachelor in Music Performance as he states... It's most unfortunate that he chose to have young people left unsupervised with him, thus prompting my deep concern for their safety. He might want to consider going back to playing his fiddle in the bars as he has usually done between incarcerations.

Now... now Peter... I have yet to be served with any documents indicating that there is a lawsuit underway by either of the businesses you speak of. I was the one who initially contacted the RCMP in Maple Ridge due to your failure to disclose your extensive criminal record for violence against women and children. I have the file number if you would like it. I WELCOME your lawsuit and the opportunity to draw even MORE media attention to your narcissistic sociopathy. People who are leaving their children with you have a right to know who you are Peter. Just because you think they have no right to know, doesn't make it so... I would be completely choked to find I'd left my child in the care of someone with your history. Bring on that lawsuit Mr. Bowen... I'm more than happy to file my substantial Counterclaim. And I'm sure Cory won't mind...

You have come to this site lying about my being charged for criminal harassment. It seems to me that harassment, terrorizing and stalking are more in YOUR league than in mine. I also don't beat people up or pull 19" daggers on them as you do. You KNOW that all of this can be proven Peter.

I was a paralegal. I am not now... thanks to you and your terrorizing me for 6 years. Pretty nice case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder you left me with... You want to talk damages? Whew... Let's have 'at 'er...

I have provided proof of everything I have said here... Under the Charter, this is STILL a free country and as long as everything I say is true, I have the right to say it. You, on the other hand, can't prove a thing because what you say is not true. If your damn lips are moving, you're lying. Anybody who knows you, knows that...

If you want to run whining like a little girl to the RCMP that someone is forewarning others about your criminal past, you'd best be able to prove that someone is "harassing" YOU. Since I haven't contacted YOU in any way, you're going to have a problem with that.

Joanne and I have become friends. I am sure she'd be happy to testify where you're concerned and you KNOW what she would say. There was a REASON your daughter didn't want you around her children when you went to Ontario in 2006, wasn't there? If your own daughter doesn't want you around her children, doesn't that kind of speak to you? Wasn't that clear to you when you tried to go there and she wouldn't allow it? I'm sure Margie would be happy to talk about her 5 years of misery as well.

I have letters from the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatory regarding your existence in their records, Peter. It's pretty strange that you took your FALSE credentials down from your website when you first read these reports.

I guess ex-cons and stalkers don't appreciate it when someone moves the rock they think they're hiding under huh? Is the light too bright Peter?

And by the way Peter? YOU were the one who posted those pictures to the Internet thereby making them public!

How DARE YOU how dare me after the Hell you've put everyone through in your life? How DARE YOU be outraged at being exposed for who you are! If you had an ounce of conscience any where in your fat body, you'd be remorseful instead of outraged.

As I said before, I didn't DESERVE to be terrorized and left with a case of PTSD that never lets me forget the moments I stood in pools of terrified sweat because of your drunken insanity, the beatings, the dagger, the threats to kill my family and all the rest of the anguish you caused. I don't see any reason why YOU should be allowed to forget what you've done to others. If you have one, OTHER than "I've done my time", I'd love to hear it!

I find the above commentary most interesting in that it actually VALIDATES my contentions as follows:

(1) Ms. Unger did not "instigate" these "allegations". Mr. Bowen "instigated" them when he CHOSE to stalk, harass and become violent with a number of females through the years. Any individual who overtly threatens to kill/rape/strangle or kidnap members of a woman's family, her children/grandchildren or the woman herself if she doesn't allow him to live with her is the "instigator" of the "facts"... NOT the victim!;

(2) The only "destroyer of two businesses" are those who chose to attempt to conceal Mr. Bowen's extensive criminal record for violence. Those people include Peter T. Bowen, Belinda Murphy (aka Bendfeld) and her sister, Barbara Angulo. It is outrageous to call Ms. Unger the "destroyer" of 2 businesses for simply disclosing the TRUTH. Take some responsibility for your OWN CHOICES folks!; and

(3) IF the two businesses have been "destroyed" by the disclosure of the information regarding Mr. Bowen's extensive criminal history for violence toward women and children, THEN it follows that the general public AGREES WITH ME and does not wish to expose their children to someone with this kind of history. The writer takes NO responsibility for the decisions of the general public.

Belinda - Peter doesn't say "Oh Boy". When you're helping him write, you really should use his language... oh, and your spelling could use some work!

I am pleased to update this report with the public news via "Events" on Facebook that Mr. Bowen has now joined the new band known as "Cory Risling & Buckshot" out of Maple Ridge, BC.

I am unaware of whether or not he is still teaching out of "Ridge Meadows Music and Lessons" but hopefully, he will stay in the lifestyle that suits him far better.

As stated above, I have not contacted Mr. Bowen nor am I "harassing" him. I am simply telling the public who may be considering subjecting their children to his ministrations what HE should be telling them so that they are able to make informed decisions in their children's best interests. After all, if he thinks his criminal record is "unimportant" or "irrelevant", he should have no problem with telling the parents of his potential students about it.

Should I be charged, I welcome the further media my trial will no doubt, attract. It's a helluva day when the terrorist/stalker/harasser can further victimize his victim by using the same law that he has disdained and disobeyed for years to try to FORCE her to keep quiet about who he is! I'll be DAMNED!

I have been both amazed and humbled at the incredible amount of support and encouragement I have received from the good people of Maple Ridge, BC in these past weeks. It is a complex, frightening and difficult thing for a person who has been severely traumatized/terrorized by someone who is completely devoid of conscience, to speak out since our first and strongest instinct is to run and hide. Our "running and hiding" is, in my view, the reason that sociopathic people can live their entire lives, manipulating and destroying one person after another with very few repercussions.

Eight years ago, I knew nothing of sociopathology or narcissism. I was simply a newly-single mother and grandmother who was forced by circumstance to start my life over. Being somewhat soft-hearted, I believed in the good in people and was quite unwilling to judge anyone as being "incorrigible". I had deliberately chosen to live my life as a compassionate and loving person despite my own challenges along the way.

Like many people, I couldn't wrap my mind around what it meant for someone to live without a soul or what someone doing so, was capable of... I had a great deal to learn about such people and I unfortunately, learned it the hard way. I feel compelled to share with you what I learned about people without souls or as Dr. M. Scott Peck termed "People of the Lie". Since this will (hopefully) be my final post, I hope that my "learnings" will stop others from being as naive and gullible as I once was. Here is what I learned:

1. I learned that people without souls are "shape-shifters". Instead of having actual human feelings, they simply "mirror" what they've seen people with souls do... They are master manipulators because of their ability to completely change their personnas in the blink of an eye;

2. I learned that people without souls have no empathy, no remorse and very little (if any) fear. They don't care who they have to crush to get their own needs met;

3. I learned that as soon as you begin to care about the extremely charismatic shape-shifter, you will earn their contempt because to them, "caring" is a weakness;

4. I learned that once you have a shape-shifter in your life, you can lose your entire control in your life because they stop at nothing to see that their target does what they're told. If you value your career, they will threaten to destroy it. If you value your home, they will get you evicted with all of their vandalism. They will conduct smear campaigns and all around you, people will believe that you are simply as "nuts" as he's told them you are when you try to warn them;

5. I learned that a soul-less person will absolutely despise the fact that he has to be able to live off of other people and if he hates women, he will use their soft hearts to coerce them into allowing him to do so. He is the "victim" in each and every story from his past and "no one has ever given him the chance to get up". He is a financial vampire who sucks the life blood out of everyone around him until he is "finished" with them.

6. I learned that people without souls cannot be cured. They NEVER change! EVER!

There is much more I could say but I hope that what I've said here will make people stop and think about the growing number of sociopaths in our society. Should you ever be unfortunate enough to meet one, you should RUN like your butt is on fire! Have NO DOUBT whatsoever that he or she will have NO qualms about destroying you when the time comes for them to do so and also, HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THAT TIME WILL COME... In this, they will use every single thing you EVER cared about to force their way into your life and God help you then! Once you're broken-spirited and your life has been reduced to nothing, they will simply find another victim.

If it saves one person from visiting the Hell I've seen, whatever price I am to pay for speaking out as I have, will have been worth it. It is time we started breaking the silence that protects people of no conscience and leaves those who are unaware subsceptible to great harm.

Silent NO MORE!

Last week, I received the following advice from one of Mr. Bowen's "friends" whom I shall refer to as "MT" that said:

"You best be careful! You don't know WHO you're messing with. We don't go for vigilante justice around here".

OxyMORONish isn't it? Why would I need to be "careful because I don't know who I'm messing with" if they don't go for "vigilante justice"? Things that make you go "Hmmm...".

This conversation simply reminded me of the many times, Mr. Bowen would phone me from prison (yes - even with a restraining order in place) telling me that if I testified against him, he had "friends on the outside who would be 'visiting' me". Other times, he would call and plead with me not to testify against him because the guys "inside" with him had a habit of beating up anyone who was convicted of assaulting women or children. Which is it? Who knows?

Later on in his (then) public FB account, MT invites Mr. Bowen back to the pub they frequent with a statement that they'll have the welcome mat out for him because they ALL support him.

I say, "Way to go MT! Make sure an alcoholic keeps heading for the bar because his liver isn't quite hard enough yet, his vision isn't quite as myopic as it can get at its zenith and he hasn't screwed up enough of his life yet! If that's what "friends" do, God help us all!"

The bigger question in all of this is why any decent person of conscience would willingly CHOOSE to support and coddle someone who has literally volunteered to live a violent lifestyle instead of making GOOD use of the musical talent God gave him?

What does "we support you" really mean? From misogynistic men AND women, it means, "We don't care who you've turned into a bloody mess, who you've devastated, who you've publicly shamed and humiliated or who you've shattered into a million pieces. Everybody has the right to a new start and so what if your victims have to fix themselves? We don't care." I ask you... how sociopathic is that?

I have heard a few people say, "When he's done his time, he's paid his debt to society and should be allowed to start over." It sounds pretty but it's really not true. It's estimated that each sociopath costs society approximately $50, 000 per year. They leave broken people in their wake who are left to struggle with the symptoms of PTSD which include nightmares, sleep disorders, panic attacks, flashbacks, memory and concentration problems, hypervigilance and depression. Over time, the symptoms of PTSD left untreated turn physical resulting in medical treatment that costs thousands of dollars. Oftentimes, narcissistic sociopaths will completely decimate their victim financially by using their victim's compassion. And sadly, the legal system is often way too lenient with repeat offenders.

Even worse are the "friends" of the narcissistic sociopath who shelter him, assist him in hiding who he truly is from the general public, tell him that no one has the right to judge him and even go so far as to ignore what will surely be their own fate at some point in time. These are the supposedly "normal" people... Sad... SAD stuff!

Luckily for me, bullies no longer scare me and as long as Mr. Bowen keeps on lying to the public with his statements of having taught music for the past 25+ years and his refusal to be forthright about his criminal record, I will continue to revive this alert to the public.

And to you specifically MT - My first husband was a man who loved his bikes. He was killed on his in 1986. If the majority of "who I'm messin' with" knew that I was beaten and terrorized by the individual who is the subject of this discussion, I think you might find yourself re-thinking who you're messing with... in no time at all!

One would think that being a person of reason, discernment, maturity, propriety and decent manners, a person proposing to be trusted with other people's children would be deeply concerned with how they are representing themselves to their potential students and the parents of the students in their advertising media... wouldn't they?

NOT Peter Bowen... Nay, Nay sayeth he. Such a man so great should not have to distract himself with mere gestures or statements.

In ordinary terms, it should be sufficient to say, "Hey Peter - quit defecating where you eat" but... that doesn't work. One might then have to say, "Hey Peter - If you advertise your business as being one that involves children on the Net, you may want to save your obscenities for elsewhere." He MIGHT cotton to that hint.

You keep saying, everytime you post anywhere, that I am "a woman scorned who is out for blood". Allow me to correct your rather warped perceptions. I was not "scorned". I put you in jail for trying to stab me in the eyes with your boss's truck keys. I wasn't fighting with the police to get them to let you stay. I am a woman concerned about the safety of the children you propose to teach... I don't feel that you should get away with being fraudulent about your teaching credentials or where you've spent the majority of the last 25 years of your life. Get it through your head... I'm tired of typing it.
