I hired a Plumber Richard Abdella who said it was going to be $60 dollars an hour to do the job. Mr. Abdella and his son showed up to do the job his son only stayed for two days then went home, while Mr. Abdella stayed and worked all week, between the both of them they got about 60 hrs. The reason I know this is because I was beside them while they worked which they said was ok because I was getting things as they needed it out of the truck. During this time Mr. Abdella and My dad Al were talking and Mr. Abdella asked for $6, 400 and the money to cover the plumbing permits in cash so he could pay his son in cash. My dad paid him and asked if he would make sure he did not put the water pipes in the north wall because when he built the house all his pipes in the north side froze. Mr. Abdella said it was not going to be hard because all the floor boards were lose with no nails in them. I saw Mr. Abdella going to put the water in the wall any way I told him not to. In response, he told me he was the plumber and I was not it is going to be ok. When my dad saw what he had done he said why did you put them in the wall, like I asked you not to do. He said after he got it inspected he would move them but he did not see why they were going to freeze. After he got it inspected he failed for a few things. He came back in the middle of the week and fixed the problems and said he was going to pay for that permit and time he took because they were stupid mistakes, he got reinspected it passed. We asked him for an itemized bill, He went home telling us he would be back next week to move water lines in the wall to the floor and give us an itemized bill. He did not show up after numerous calls to him using another cell phone with a different number he finally answered because he knew our number and was avoiding the calls. His second to last call he said he was in the ICU with a heart attack and he was not going to be able to be a plumper any more, and I was going to have to find another plumber to finish the job, but he was still going to give us an itemized bill. I got another licensed plumber that said he would finish the Job. It had been 2 months I still did not have a bill, I called him again and told him I got another plumber, I need a bill and also said I know I over paid you and want our money back so we can pay this plumber partially with the remaining money. I told Mr. Abdella. I know you have been over paid because the labor was around $3, 600 and he plumbed everything else in plastic he claimed it was about $1, 500 in materials for a ball park figure that is about $5, 100 and I would like the rest of my money back. His last words were He was waiting for another call for the final, after he said to get another plumber which I already had. Now he has still not given me an itemized bill or returned the overpaid money.
