Royal Palm Travel reviews and complaints
Fraud, Deceit, Misrepresentation
I went to a sales presentation (which I did signup without looking at their company further). We were told of wonderful savings on cruises, vacation packages, condos, airfair, etc., etc. We were also told we would receive $100 in gas and a FREE 3 day 2 night trip to Las Vegas (3 or 4 locations and we chose Las Vegas). Well, come to find out it's not a free trip at all - this is through Worldwide Travel Center - and first we had to pay $100. Then we had to pay a refundable $100. Now we pick our dates. And we have to send in $144 for taxes! So total $344 for a free vacation (I could plan it myself for that) - and they are saying the value of this gift is $2000 to $3000 so we have to file a paper with the IRS that could increase our taxes (because of this gift) $400 to $900. So much for a free trip! I went back to Royal Palm Travel in dallas and he really couldn't care less - just told me that I'd have to talk to Worldwide Travel Center. We have tried to book one airline ticket and saved only about $10. I am trying to book another airline ticket and have waited 3 days! to hear anything back on the quote. He said that they didn't offer any discounts on airline. I'm going to try and package and see if there really is any savings at all.
I'm putting together a class action lawsuit against both companies (Royal Palm Travel and Worldwide Travel Center). I have already been in touch with one person who complained against Royal Palm Travel and another person who complained against Worldwide Travel Center. I'm also going to be going every chance I get to warn other people in their sales presentations to at least sleep on it and review the company before making any purchase. I'm also going to be filing complaints with whoever I can (BBB, attorney general, etc).
Anybody willing to join the lawsuit or help warn other people, send an email to [protected]@verizon.net or [protected]@ymail.com

SCAM
Royal Palm Travel will first lure you in with promise for travel for 2 or 4 somewhere in the United States. I have heard from others gas cards.
Then they will invite you up to the beautiful towers of the Galleria and have lots of other folks there coming for the same reason. They will require that you and your spouse be present and will need to see a major credit card. After this they will use their very smooth and fast talking sales reps to hype you up and make you think that you are getting the dirt cheap services of their agency because you are getting wholesale prices by cutting out the middle man. They sign you up (no cancellation period allowed per their contract) then they send you away with a nice leather binder that gives you all the details of their services. But wait, you cannot enter their site until you receive your password several days later. And the prices on the web site are not really their prices, you have to call in or email for the actual quotes.
Their prices are actually higher than those you can locate yourself of through the free websites out there like vacationstogo.com, travelocity, expedia, etc. DO NOT EVEN GO TO THESE PRESENTATIONS!
THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK! I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED.

Hi, my email is fred.riegle@hotmail.com. I was scamed last weekend. The speel sure changed to the actual. Lies, switch and bait, "trust me", I fell for it all. If you were taken by these people I'd like your advice or let's do something that might get us results. They're slick but we can fight it together.
We got our money back. After filing with Missouri BBB and our credit card company. Both put the heat on them. My credit card company actually put a credit on our credit card and would not pay the bill. All of the sudden we received two calls from Sea Land Travel/All Inclusive Excursions/Royal Palm Travel etc... They wanted to give us our money back. My husband met with them, we got our money back and immediately they asked for us to contact our credit card company so that their merchant account could be cleared. We were persistant. You credit card company can fight for you. If you have not got caught up in this scam STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY! If you have then contact everyone you possibly can think of. I had two television stations contact me about doing a story on them. We had researched sooooo much stuff on them and my husband told them some of the information we had on them. I think they were shocked we had done so much homeowrk. Good luck, and don't give up!
travel agency fraud
Wow - we were duped too. And rarely do I ever get duped. I cannot believe I did not follow my wisdom to never buy anything big without sleeping on it. And I can usually smell a rat. I think I just was so excited to sign up for a vacation club - something we could not afford in the last 5 years.
There is a lot of info that this club in Dallas at the Galleria Towers used to be Beachcombers, owned by Bill Bailey of FL, then turned Phoenix Vacations, then in spring 2008, Royal Palm Travel. Lies lies lies from the plaques on the wall claiming membership with Better Business Bureau, to the 50-75% off rack rate prices, to their cancellation policy. And even what they give in free gifts. We were told we would get 4 airplane tickets - well fine print said only 2 free, then pay full price for the other two!
We signed up in Sept, I came home and read how fraudy they were, we cancelled the next day, and still owe $1300 on the bofa card they signed us up with! Now bofa tells me TX allows a company to charge how ever much they want for cancellation fees. There is no remorse law like in CA where I am used to purchasing!
Anyone else up for a class action suit?

Yes, they were horrid liars to us as well. Even on the gifts - we were supposed to get 4 free air tickets - the fine print said it was only 2, and you had to pay full price for the other 2. Then on the gas, we turned in receipts in Nov, its now May, and we still do not have the $25 gift card that was supposed to be mailed to us within 90 days.
More importantly, we tried to cancel the travel service the exact day we signed up - and get out of the contract with buyers remorse. We talked to a big contract lawyer in Dallas, and he said the amount of time to take to fight them at his $350/hr would not be worth it to us. I agree, but I am very happy to help any class action suit if anyone is putting one together. Unfortunately, we will not probably be able to get them easily because those of us who signed on with them also signed the agreement that if we cancel, we pay the ridiculous "restocking" and admin fee, which for us was about $1200. I think this is how they exist, even if everyone cancels, they still get $1000 per signup, maybe 4-5 of them per day, plus the $5000+ for those who stay on, maybe another 4-5 per day.
Please contact me if anyone is starting a class action suit...

Are you also a victim of Royal Palm Travel? Submit a complaint to help other consumers to be educated and don't let them get you like they have gotten so many others. Their sales team are headed up by nothing more than scam artist, fast talkers, and liars. This company will be out of business in about 2 months, so don't let them get your money.
I am not asking you people to believe me, I am just expressing my thought on our experience with this royal pal whatever company!it's for you to find out!but in my end, I was somehow happy though not very satisfied coz we get to pay some taxes, but that's ok. We are just trying to look on the lighter side anyway.
This firm started calling our home last night. After asking to be removed off the caller list, the very rude gal called back and said she would call us every day as I was a ###. She again started her customary calls again today. I have had it with this. This is harrassment and extremely unprofessional.
Somehow my phone number was sold to Royal Palm Travel and when I tell them I am on a Do Not Call list they hang up on me.
Adrian D Miller of Grapevine / Florida is a conman and always has been. He is evil. stay far away from him and if you have been among the countless people screwed over by this scam artist then complain loudly and constantly until you get bored.
FYI, hundreds of complaints filed with this company. Multiple class action lawsuits filed. Cases all over the country.
We were completely scammed by this company in Dallas. They claimed by using their "wholesale" service we would get prices from 50-70% off the rates of online agencies such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc.
We paid $3600 for the service and when I compared the prices from their service to the prices on Expedia and Travelocity I was completely astounded. The online prices for an all inclusive to Mexico including travel were $1700 less than Sealand and Travel prices.
Of course, we tried to get our money back and they keep telling us it is being "investigated". I researched online and found several sites exposing their scam.

I have reported the BBB, Police Dept. and will call the Attorney General's Office. Pricing examples as of 10/6/09:
Their price for Moon Palace (includes rebate) is 926.00 per person. Expedia price for Moon Palace w/ better itinerary (Non-stop on the return) is 865.00 per person – savings of $366 if I use Expedia, plus I get a better flight.
Their price for Oasis (including rebate) is 604.17 per person. Expedia price same carriers/flights with earlier return time is 559.00 per person. Savings of $270 using Expedia.
Their price for Omni (including rebate) is $852. Expedia price is $559 per person. Savings of $1758 using Expedia, plus a better flight (nonstop).
These people should be ashamed, they have taken our vacation money that we were planning on using for our Thanksgiving vacation... now we are completely at a loss..

Fraud/Misrepresentation
This company is a total scam! They will not give you a password to check or compare their rates until the three day cancellation period is over. Their rates are twice as high as you can book the vacation yourself. Has anyone had any luck on getting their credit card charges removed? We have been trying for 3 months now. We have disputed the charges with Bank of america but they just keep sending us the same paperwork and asking for things we can't provide. Please let me know if you have had any luck getting the charges taken off and how.

Great advice. I've been trying to get my money back for 2 years. The credit card co. said if I can get them to say they'll give it back then they can do it for me. I was told last year by Adrian Miller he would return my money and would send the papers out. That was last July. I can't go to their office because they have packed up and moved. Any other advice? I need HELP. Thanks
It would be my pleasure to help you get your money back from these conmen. First of all, if you are disputing the credit card charges the only way you will win is to tell the credit card company that you did not receive the product you were promised. If you want to force the company to give you back your money there are a few tricks to try. First of all you can start by filing complaints with the bbb and a complaint with the attorney generals office in texas. When you file the complaint with the attorney generals office be sure to write in the complaint that the owner of royal palms travel is the former director of sales for Horizon travel and Suncountry travel named Adrian Miller. Let the AG know you requested a refund because the product is not what you were promised in the sales presentation. The last sure fire way to get your money back is to go to the building where the presentations are held and hold up signs that inform people about your bad experience with the company and tell everyone walking in the building and the owner of royal Palm Travel will give you a refund just so you dont scare away his next potential customer. If you have anymore questions you can leave them here and I will do my best to answer. Good Luck
Kicked out of presentation for no reason
I have never been treated SO terribly when I didnt deserve it. I called on this mailer I received saying get two plane tickets to anywhere in the continental USA by going to this travel presentation - so I called the number listed and signed up for 8/13/08 to visit. When I got there after taking off work 2 hours early, which is not okay in my busniess, a...

I was called several times about attending a presentation and promised a $300.00 gas card and 3 days/2 night free vacation with air for just attending. Once the presentation was over I was given some paperwork to claim my gifts. After reading the details I found that it is nearly impossible to obtain your gifts. The gas card can only be obtained by purchasing $100.00 in gas per month at the same brand station, sending in receipts and they send you back a $25.00 gift card for gas. The minimum about you can receive is $25.00 per month. The vacation voucher was much worst. This is a complete waste of time.

Received a phone call from a "verifier, " who told me I'd entered an American Airlines contest in December, and had won an expense paid trip for two people. He then put me through to his supervisor. "Todd" gave me an address and wanted me to make an appointment. I balked, checked the phone number, and then queried American Airlines. They are not connected with this enterprise.
I'm going to have nothing further to do with them. Thank goodness I didn't waste my time making an appointment and showing up.
Thanks everyone for all your comments. I also received a mail from All Inclusive Excursions and originally provisionally agreed to attend their presentation in Ft Worth. They were very convincing, very nice as well as professional on the phone. After reading all these comments I decided to decline. All of a sudden, they were less than courteous about accepting my cancellation... Bunch of crooks. Don't fall for any of this!
We too were scammed by All Inclusive Excursions, Sea Land Travel. So far I have contacted Fort Worth Star Telegram, Dallas Morning News, Channel 4, 5, 8 and 11, Attorney General, BBB and my credit card company.
And the preacher/scammer goes to Harvest Church in Watauga Texas. If any of you are members I am sorry, I would reconsider your church with that type of people ministering there. Jerry Jackson is a crook!
I would appreciate anyone willing to come forward and we could work together with us. Two of the TV stations has contacted me!
I won't quit until I receive my money.
just to let you folks know, they are now using "all inclusive excursions" as their new operating name and are calling to tell folks they were picked from a draw of email addresses and you have definitely won one of 4 prizes.. etc etc etc...
reading all this makes me glad i didn't agree to a presentation (Oh, yeah, you have to send a couple to represent you in your place if you are now single)... but you still get the prize.. hmmmm
anyway.. don't fall for ALL INCLUSIVE EXCURSIONS either.
You don't get something for nothing. You usually have to jump through a lot of their hoops to get the "free" stuff. And don't be surprised that you have to pay the government taxes; in fact, having to pay the taxes implies that you are more likely to get the "free" offer than just paying some service fee.
I also recommend that you NEVER purchase something from these high pressure sales people on your first visit. IF they are real, IF they're product is sustainable, IF you can resist the hype... you can always go back and purchase later. Those "one time only" offers are usually offered daily, 6 days a week.
The hard part that comes with these sales tactics is trying to figure out if their product meshes with your travel lifestyle... OR, you're willing to change your travel lifestyle. My family bought into Time Share 30+ years ago. We've been happy with it but we do follow their rules and we don't always get exactly what we want. I suspect the same applies for this Royal Palm Travel.
Rob
The gifts suck and do not work. They arent even worth the paper they are printed on. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this company as you can. They are all Conmen and Liars and should be locked up in federal prison.
IF U KNOW HOW TO READ & FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS THE GIFTS ARE VERY USABLE, WHEN YOU CALL THEY DO TELL YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TAXES, NO WHERE DOES IT SAY FREE! THE GOVERNMENT REQUIRES YOU TO PAY THE TAXES SO IF YOU DONT LIKE IT TAKE IT UP WITH THE LOVELY US GOVERNMENT! I USED MY TICKETS WITH OUT ANY HITCH & RECIEVED MY GAS EVERY MONTH, WITH THE PRICE OF GAS NOW DAYS IFS VERY EASY TO SPEND $100 A MONTH ! & ALL I DID WAS USE MY FAVORITE LOCAL GAS STATION
My wife and I bought into this scam 3 years ago when they used a different name. We paid the entire fee up front because we were told we would not be able to take advantage of some of their great deals until the initial fee was paid in full. Even after paying in full, I could not get into their website for a week and when I did, found very little information on it, and no deal as described in the presentation. I then called and tried to take advantage of one of the free vacations we were entitled as full members and was told I would have to wait 12 months to utilize it. I then tried to use their services for a family vacation I planned to take in three months and I was told I had to book a minimum of 6 months in order for them to give me any kind of fantastic deal as described in the presentation. I finally settled on a 5 day cruise out of Tampa and asked them to see what they could do for me. They called me back with a price and I found that the price they gave me was actually higher than the price found on Carnival’s own web site.
After my first year in the club, and paying out over 5 grand to them, I was unable to get any kind of vacation arranged through them. I decided then that I either misunderstood when I was purchasing or I was conned. When we got a membership renewal in the mail, we decided to eat crow and call the lost 5 grand a big learning experience. I wrote to them explaining how disappointed I was in there service and that I would not be renewing, due to my dissatisfaction.
I did not hear from them again for 14 months, and then received a bill for 2 years membership. I few week after that I got an email threatening going to a collection company if I did not pay, and 3 days after the email, I received a letter from a supposed collection company that actually seems to be just another one of the fake companies these thieves have created.
When I Googled this vacation club I found nothing but complaints over the last four years with victims scattered all over the US. I cannot believe they have been allowed to remain in business considering their business practices. I also cannot believe, not a single lawyer in Florida has opted to attempt to make a class action lawsuit against all of the alias vacation companies.
I suggest someone build a website, blog, whatever, that would allow all the victims of these robbers to get together, organize, and put them out of business and behind bars(if no volunteers then I will work on it).
Let me know what you think.
P.S. Don't be fooled by any positive comments you see about this organization on any of these websites. They have a couple people (friend? family?) working for them as "travel agents" that have nothing better to do than Google these sites and then plant false positive comments.
hi, my name is Brandy and u can reach me @ brandylaplante@hotmail.com. i too was scammed last may. i've been trying to fight it with my credit card co. to all avail i've gotten nowhere. i'm very interested in joining u in a lawsuit. i actually purchased the travel package but when i went to book a vacation i found out that you could not do so online. turns out you have to book through an agent. the agent was rude and didn't get back to me in a timely manor. i work full time and go to school full time. so actually talking to some one became next to impossible. i asked them to contact me trough e-mail. the woman agreed and then continued to call me. i finally gave up on the constant phone tag. i was never able to book anything so i called my CC co. and i'm on my 5th dispute. i'm simply stating i never recieved any services and they are claiming that the fact that they looked in to vacations for me constitutes as a service! i'm absolutely sick to my stomache that i spent $750 to never recieve anything! not that i didn't try. I even sent in referals at which they said they would send me $100 and i never saw a cent!
