Route 66 English Bulldogs Sold a sick dog

On the 25th Oct 2013, I sent Route 66 English Bulldogs money plus $400 shipping for an 8 year old Ch Banta's Mine Creek Max. I was told he was healthy and acted like a 3 year old. I told Alcia Marcantel that my bulldog had just died 2 weeks earlier of cancer and didn't want another heartbreak. She told me that he would probably live to be 12 years.
Once she received my money ( in her boyfriend's name of Larry [censored] ), she told me that the dog had an enlarged testicle but nothing to worry about. I called my vet and he told me that it was probably testicular cancer and not to take the dog. I emailed Alcia back and asked for my money back. She refused saying the dog was sold AS IS and that there was no refunds. This was hours after getting my money gram and she still had the dog.
She then informed me that she was shipping the dog to me. I refused to pick up the dog.
Alcia then said that she would find another home for the dog and that I would lose my shipping money as well.
I decided to take the dog because she was only going to scam someone else and I knew she wasn't giving me back any money. I told her to ship the dog to me but when I found out the time it was arriving, I emailed her 3 times and told her that I couldn't meet the shipper because of work and to send him the next week. Once again Alcia refused and shipped the dog knowing full well that I couldn't pick him up.
When the shipper called me, I explained the situation and told him that another breeder would accept him. Alcia told the shipper NOT to drop my dog off at the breeders and to return him to her so she could resell him.
Alcia Marcantel is a heartless person who is only interested in your money and will knowingly sell you a sick dog. She lies and refuses emails because of paper trails of her scams.Only likes talking on the phone so there is no record.
IAlcia had told me that the dog weighed 45 lbs when the breeder who sold her the dog said he should have weighed 60 lbs . Shows you how healthy he was. He was 15 lbs underweight. Cancer maybe?
Do Not Send her a dime or you'll lose it

Route 66 English Bulldogs Sold me a dog with testicular cancer

On the 25th October 2013, I sent Larry and Alicia [censored] $900 for an 8 year old English Bulldog. I was told that he was very healthy and should live to about 12 years.I told her that I had just lost my old bully boy 2 weeks ago and was looking for a boy to cuddle with and sleep on the bed
She told me that I had to send her all the money before she took him for his health exam because the vet was 2 1/2 hours away ( vet ended up being 30 minutes away )
. I sent the money by money gram which she asked for. Two hours after getting my money, she informs me that the dog has one testicle slightly larger than the other but not to worry because old dogs get that; I was upset and asked for pictures. She sent 2 pictures. One was taken at an angle so you can't see most of the bad testicle but from what you see, it's twice the size of the other one and it;s pushing the normal one into the leg area.
I emailed the pictures to my vet and he said it was probably testicle cancer and not to buy the dog.
I sent her another email asking for my money back and then all emails stopped from her. She started calling on the phone but refused to email me because of the paper trail. In total I asked 6 times for my money back and she refused. I told her that I wouldn't pickup the dog if she shipped him to me.
Then she calls telling me that she's dropped the dog off a day early at the shippers. She then left a phone message that her computer had broken that weekend and she had taken it in to get fixed so that's why she couldn't email me.
I had my friend email her about a white puppy she had for sale. Within 10 minutes, . Alicia responded telling my friend all about the puppy and it came from her email address. (her computer wasn't broken) Bunch of lies!
Once I confronted her about the broken computer, she responded back via email.

Alicia's attitude was that the dog was being shipped and too bad. It wasn't until I threatened to have Buffalo News crew and ASPCA there to witness this poor old sick English Bulldog being left with no home. She finally picked him up from the shippers.

This couple from Route 66 English Bulldogs are cut throat heartless people who are only out for money. They don't care if they hurt someone by sending them a sick animal or just getting rid of their problem on someone else.
I hope my bad experience will help others to avoid this heartless breeder. The saddest part is that Max is still with them until they find someone else to dump him on. Max is a beautiful AKC Champion :" Banta's Mine Creek Max. What a shame. He needs medical treatment ASAP before the cancer spreads.

I just revised the complaint. after telling me that she wasn't giving any money and was going to resell the dog, I told her to ship him to me. After she told me the date and time of arrival, I told her that I couldn't meet the shipper and to reschedule the shipping for the next week. She refused and shipped the dog. When the shipper called me, I told him the situation and gave him an address of another breeder who would take him. . He was told by Route 66 English Bulldogs - not to drop off the dog and return him to them. Big Scam!!
