Resort Connection International reviews and complaints
SCAM - gift check bounced
We attended one of their presentations on Feb 4, 2012 in Pigeon Forge, TN( required a $20 deposit that would be refunded when we showed up to the session). Promosed $75 in cash and 2 dinner gift certificates to Texas Road House for coming to hear the presentation. The $95 check they gave us bounced. We did not buy from them as the committment was $7K and we were not prepared to shell out that kind of money. We feel this is a scam and want to warn others. Please be aware that they are shady and learn from our lesson. We are out our $20 and a $12 bounced check fee from the bank.

SCAM
DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company. They claim they are part of the legitimate company RCI - which is a LIE. They told us that they would give a weekly status report via telephone contact - Not once did they call us. They do NOT return calls. They do NOT return emails. I will give names because I do not care. DO NOT do business MARK ALLEN OR LAWRENCE. Lawrence apparently is Mark's supervisor and he told us we would receive a refund. NEVER saw it. Lesson learned. If you have to pay up front, you have no leverage to get what you were promised.

I will add one more name to the list of scammers----Anthony McDermott! He tried to work me over today and agreed to fax the copy of their business license number and contract to me so that I could research them but it would occur only after I gave the card number. Of course, I have been scammed once and finally recouped my money, so, I am an 'old hand' at this crap. He was willing to wait on the phone for 45 minutes so that I could walk back to my truck and get my card! Really? And, they have a BBB rating of "F". Beware of false promises!
Don't Do business with them - Scammers
Ok, well I don't usually publish on these boards, but I am just sick and tired of these idiots calling me.
First of all, if you can't figure out that the other 4 "positive" posts were by the very scammers trying to take your money, then I have a water front property in Nevad I'd like to sell you. Come on: neil from anaheim, Eugene from Albany, shelley from anchorage, and kyle from albuquerque; Really! You couldn't get a little more creative. Well I'm George from NOLA! and you are all full of S*&(!
So I get this call and having had them many times before, I ask the guy, "Do I have to pay anything up front". He says No, so I listen to him. After 3 minutes he asks me for a Credit Card and $899. Obviously I laughed at him. So at that point he tried to work me over; while I looked up their company on the BBB. Funny, not even listed! He goes on to tell me that, that is because they have not complaints on them. BS!
I also looked at their website and they have the BBB symbol at the bottom of their screen; so I reported them to the BBB. Just some info from the lady at the BBB; if the symbol on a page does not link directly to the BBB, buyer beware.
I also looked into the address of the supposed Head Quarters in Los Angeles. Would you believe that the company who rents out the spaces they are in, had never heard of them. I wonder if they are working out of Neil or Kyle's basement.
This company is a SCAM! I didn't see anything negative on them so I figured I'd fix that. Stay as far away from them as you can. If you don't; it's your own fault.

Your program is great! I rented my unit fast. Keep me posted. I will use you again.
Went to a presentation in Gatlinburg, Tn. for Resort Connections International. I didn't buy the package and received my $120.00 check as a gift as promised. One thing...IT BOUNCED SKY HIGH! Called Tn. State bank and they said there were insufficient funds. Go figure. If you get approached by one of the head hunters while on vacation stay away from these guys. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Thank you for your post Timeshare Resales Fraud. I feel the same way. Thanks for the heads up on the BBB symbol.
Ok Mr. Styles, even though I doubt that is your name. Explain to me why then the Daytona Beach office just up and closed shop and disappeared and never paid any of the sales people? Oh wait, that is right your merchant account was locked up...what about the front that they used on that daytona beach office that was not even the name of the business? Hiding behind a fake name on the building, sales people could say just about anything they wanted to and then you come to these type of boards and fill it full of crap...And they use Regus to list all of these office around the US when they are nothing but virtual offices that they lease out every month with nobody there...I can go on forever. :)
www.sellingmytimeshare.com might just have a write up soon exposing everything about this company.
Resort Connection International is in the middle of closing on my Las Vegas timeshare. They are on the BBB and they have a B rating. That is one of the main reasons I decided to work with them in the first place. It wasn't all apple pie and and ice cream during the sale, but we did get a reasonable offer in the 90 days they promissed.
So let me get this straight, you lied about this company not being a member of the BBB, you have never tried to sell a timeshare through this company, yet you were able to call the BBB and make complaint.
It seems to me sir or Mam, that you are the one Whom is Full Of Sh%$!
Great Timeshare Company
I had a fantastic time dealing with Resort Connection International. Just thought I'd give them their props!

Just another way that some of these timeshare resale companies try and pump themselves up as being truly legit. Yet this company has no telemarketing license in the state of florida, allows their sales people to use fake names on the phone, say they have a buyer waiting or just about anything else to make a sale.

Read my complaint if you want the truth! This guy works for the Scammers!
I worked with 3 other companies in the past and nothing they just took my money. I worked with Mrs . Baker and she had me offers on 4 of my timeshares within 90 days. I would recommend them to all my friends and anyone that wants to sell/rent there timeshare.
My timeshare was rented less than 24 hours. Thanks! You must get a lot of hits...Will use this again.
Rented my week-52 unit through your service in 30 days. Very pleased with your operation. Fair price. Will tell friends.
Has anyone had any dealings with Smokey Mountain Getaways in Pigeon Forge?
I actually purchased the "package"... they seemed helpful and more than willing to drop the price down as low as we could possibly afford. I am now seeing why they did that... I still have these people taking money out of my account monthly and have already paid in over $1, 000! A few months ago we called and ask about the book with the list of resorts that we were supposed to receive and they said they were "on backorder" and would mail us one when they came in. I finally received my book 3 months later and after using the website I have found that the "condos" offered are DISGUSTING! You could not pay me money to stay in 99% of these places! During our presentation we were told we would be receiving Exclusive deals for Patriot Getaway Cabins...which is what sold us in the first place. The guy showed us amazing luxury cabins (3-4 bedrooms) that were only $179 for an entire week. I called the Cabin place today to see what deals were offered to me as a member...GET THIS... There are no exclusive deals offered...we are offered the same deals that are offered to the public. I am NOT paying $1, 930 for a cabin rental for a week. These people run you around in circles. DO NOT BUY A PACAKGE! I will be in touch with the BBB and my bank to try to get these charges taken off my account!
The same thing happened to us, we were there March 14, 2012. We did the sales presentation and decided that we were not interested in it, they gave us a check for $120, just found out today the check was no good. I'm not letting it drop, i'm going to do what I can to make sure the pay for this.
hahahahahahahahahhahahah
I had the same experience! These guys are good!
