Professional Medical Warehouse Scam

First we received a random box of medical gloves to our office. Next we receive a random invoice for $300.00 wanting payment for said medical gloves that were never ordered! After calling to try and settle the matter, David, an employee, even tried to call me a liar saying I had in fact ordered the gloves! Finally coming to an agreement to send them back with no payment he again tried to get me to keep the gloves and to pay for them. Obviously I was charged in my name from the business for something I did not order and they were just hoping I would pay for it. Business ethics like this should not happen, this is why I'm writing this review to help others.

We had the same happen. I also spoke to an employee named "David Hughes" at ext. 1001. Told him we considered the gloves a gift, as we didn't order them, and we would not be paying for them.

Professional Medical Warehouse Beware

Company calls and tells you that you have a contractual obligation to order a certain amount of products with them that you have been receiving at discounted prices. They say that if you do not continue your order they will charge you the full price of previous orders received from them. They will call every couple of months basically trying to trick you into ordering with them at this outrageous "discounted" prices (almost double McKesson). They are basically looking for new managers who don't know that there is no obligation and will intimidate and confuse you into ordering. If you ask for something in writing they will tell you that they don't need it to sue you for past orders. Which is completely fictional but for some reason they have been able to continually scam this office since 2006.

David Hughes will solicit an order from you and when you decline will proceed supposedly with company policy to fax correspondence (ours did not even have our correct business name, which is another reason I believed the fax to be spam and ignored it). When gloves came in the mail, an MA in our office, thinking they were part of the order I had just made with our usual vendor, opened a couple of boxes. Days later, we received an invoice for $279.30 for 3 boxes of 200 count gloves (this price reflected a 30% discount - each box listed for $399 on their invoice). I had just paid $13.97 per box from our usual vendor. This company falsely and unilaterally places orders for their products, sends a fax “confirmation”, ships materials, and then sends an invoice for an outrageous amount. I called David Hughes after receiving the invoice and frankly called him out on his actions. He feigned ignorance and when I told him we are not paying the invoice, he offered to send a pre-paid UPS label to return unopened product. If I get a chance, I will box up the unopened boxes and mail back to him; the opened boxes are going to be considered gifts to us. This company takes advantage of busy medical practices that are not in a position to respond to every piece of unsolicited spam communication.

I disagree. I do not work for the company, but in reading these, I think it is CRAZY for anyone to think that you would really get "free" gloves and gift cards, come on, wouldn't you ask about it, call about it, figure out why someone was sending you a CASE of gloves! It's time we get smart here and use our noggins! I am sure this company has plenty of happy clients and you guys are just the minority!

I COMPLETELY agree with your post! I am so sorry that they have also tricked you but so glad that someone else is speaking up! I also reported them to the BBB and I hope soon that the sad company will be shut down. They prey on new comers to the offices they target. I don't know how they get our names either but I will never let it happen again to me! Research them on the internet and keep calling! If I can be of any help please let me know. I have all the information still from when I went after them.

Company is completely a SCAM and SHAM! They called to tell me that an order that was placed "several months ago, at a seminar or expo or something for nitrile gloves and was supposed to be held until late August" was ready to be sent out. Said that the office was going to try to go latex free and that by ordering then, they were getting free shipping, but hadn't wanted the order shipped until August. I am new at this position, was in a hurry and they had asked for me by name. I don't know how they got my name. I have never spoken to them. I said it was o.k. to send them, then he asked for my name and sent an order confirmation by fax to the office (TOTALLY OVERPRICED GLOVES). I called the former assistant, she said they had not ordered anything. I called to cancel the order and no one ever answers any of the phones. I had to leave a message and then send a fax with the same message to cancel the order and to tell them that I think their business practices are abhorrent and that I am reporting them to the BBB.

Interesting. I am floored that you have now, on top of everything else accused me of asking you for Starbucks gift cards! The fact that you even replied to this complaint, Mike, is proof enough that you are guilty, guilty, guilty. You must be used to people rolling over for you and falling for your scams like the first complainant has been since 2006. Furthermore, I have NO reason to make this up. I DID NOT use the produce and am sending it all back. Yes, you have said you will refund us completely. Should I expect anything less from a proud company that you claim to be? Please spare me with the "asking for shareholder information". You consider asking to speak to the owner of the company trying to obtain shareholder information? Had your employee the day before not said he was the "owner" and then I find out differently after my research I would not have given it another thought but much like the rest of your business it was "fishy".
Regardless of what you have posted, if I have saved one Dr.'s office or tattoo parlor from ordering your product then my work is done here.

11/12/10 – Regan placed an order for product asking for specific sizes and type. The customer service representative reviewed the order and pricing prior to ending the phone conversation. She also provided her fax number to our representative so we can send an order confirmation to her attention, per company policy. On 12/13/10 Regan called to make a credit card payment on this invoice, she asked that we use this card to process future shipments, and asked that we mail the paid invoice to her attention. At this time she also updated name from *** ****** Family Dentistry to *** ***** PLLC. She received additional product from us in future, with her approval, and even went so far as to ask for additional promotional gifts and gift cards for herself and Jennifer in the office. 4/12/11 Regan called upset saying she doesn’t use this product, thought it was free and we obtained her credit card fraudulently. If we assume she is correct and all this product was free, if you don’t use it, why would you keep it and continue to accept the product, filling your storage area? Given our history/facts over the past 5 months, we disagreed with her accusations, however we wanted to resolve amicably and she was very unreasonable. 4/13/11- Regan called demanding to speak with the President and began making additional accusations, once again being extremely unreasonable, asking for shareholder information and threatening with information she found about Professional Medical Warehouse after doing “extensive research on the internet”. In an effort to honor her request, we refunded ALL her money, for all invoices including the original one, and sent her prepaid pick up labels for the product she still had.

We do not have any complaints of this serious nature and we seek to resolve any issues one may have with our service and products, please give us a fair opportunity to resolve amicably. We GUARANTEE we will.

This company went above and beyond that with me! They called offering free goods several times and then charged me for them! When confronted I was basically called a liar and that they would never do such a thing! I am in the process of attempting to get a refund of which they are reluctant even though as I told them, all the free goods they sent are on a shelf still in the box they came in. I have since filed a complaint with the BBB. On the BBB site I found that they already have other similar complaints. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
