PenFed reviews and complaints

This is the absolute worst most frustrating company to deal with from a customer standpoint. It is nearly impossible to make a payment by phone. Maddeningly difficult to get a representative on the phone once you enter the phone-cycle hell. They use an archaic system to set up bank payments which failed after my one successful attempt. I have been assessed a late fee twice and reported to the credit bureaus twice based on their errors. I would happily refinance with another company except for the less favorable rate I would incur.

Very Dissatisfied Customer

PenFed better Not lose or steal my $5, 000.00.
More than a month ago I electronically sent 2 routine money transfers from the most excellent USA financial/Insurance organization, USAA. I had 2 previous transfers clear and credit my PenFed American Express credit card. The last 2 transfers $2, 000 and $3, 000 in Jan, 2013 have yet to clear with PenFed. USAA informed me that their checks (transfers) had cleared through PenFed.
So, WHERE"S THE MONEY? I'm on the phone now talking to PenFED a representative who initially told me to call back in a hour so they could research the "problem". I have repeatedly sent them all the INFO they asked for by E-mail.
What the heck is up with PenFED? Are they scammers? How can we get our money back since it is impossible to try to deal with Penfed's people or website to get any results?
