Landos Boxers reviews and complaints
Unethical practices
I purchased a female puppy from Linda for my breeding program. She led me to believe that she was a registered breeder that adheres to CKC standards, this is NOT the case! She does NOT genetic test her breeding dogs and is breeding sick dogs that carry genetic genes for common boxer diseases such as ARVC and DM! Do NOT buy from this woman! You will end up with large vet costs and losing your family member sooner then you should! Shame!

Boxer puppy
Linda is all smiles and friendly until you get home with your puppy. I purchased a puppy for my breeding program from Linda in april 2022. I paid an extra $1000 to have breeding rights to said puppy. When i arrived to pick up my puppy, linda stated that she is a ckc member and could register my puppy if i would like, to which i obviously said i would like...

I am a breeder of boxers and I recently purchased a female from Landos Boxers for my breeding program. I paid an extra $1000 for breeding rights with the understanding that Linda would be registering my puppy with CKC as she did the puppy was purebred and therefore able to be papered. Since bring big my puppy home I have tried to contact Linda at Lando...

I got a dog from Landos Boxer 4 years ago. My dog had a heart mumur and died January 2016 with brain cancer. It is cruel to have such a bad breeder like that, breeding dogs with genetic diseases. In regards to the papers, well, never got them, and since I did not care about papers, I gave up requesting. My family is destroyed after loosing our dear loving son. The pain that this breeder is causing to my family and as I can see to several people, is not fair, and it is cruel! I am considering a class actions against this breeder for all emotional and financial damage that they are causing to my family and to several other ones.

All pups leave on a 3 year contract for Hips heart and temperament. It states in my contract ...
In the event that one of the guaranteed Hereditary issue should arise and puppy shows clinical signs and unable to meet the demand of a pet puppy suitable evidence has to be provided to the Breeder..
I have not recieved any documentation from this person
A phone call is not suffient.
It also states in my contract that the puppies entire medical history has to be provided to me. My address is at the top of my contract.
All contracts are signed by both myself the breeder and the purchaser the new puppy owner.
I hope this clarifies this situation.
Owner of Landos Boxers
Hello. I am a Boxer lover in Florida who acquired a Landos boxer some 4 years ago.
Our girl was a product of Ondo and Matilda, a litter which was all dark brindle, born July 6, 2011.
We visited Linda in July 2001 and our puppy was only 2 weeks old when we visited the litter, along with her beautiful all brindle mama, Matilda.
I picked up my boxer at 8 weeks in September 2011 and flew her home.
When she was 10 months old she had meningitis but recovered thanks to my knowing how to identify it, something not every vet can recognize. They call it Boxers meningitis.
Our girl is very strong now and has been for years, weighs 85 lbs, and seems to have recovered fully from a disease that almost killed her. Sometimes we think her brain was slightly damaged as she seems a little slow in some quirky ways. Mostly she is a stubborn learner, more so than previous boxers.
We believe our girl always had a weaker immune system because when we let her play at the dog park she always got sick, culminating in the meningitis. We could not take her to the dog park after the meningitis and she was never able to be properly socialized with other dogs. I think dogs like mine suffer from weaker immune systems because they are weaned far too early, our girl at only 4 weeks, so they are completely weaned to be picked up at 8 weeks.
Anyway, I am so sorry to hear about your boxer from Linda, and I am wondering if it is from the same litter? My wife and I had no problems with Linda and we never asked for papers, as it was not important to us. She was very sociable and generous person.
At the time of our visit she had about 25 puppies penned together with one mama to nurse all of them. The entire lot was about 8 weeks and ready for sale. There were many beautiful puppies among them, but because they were all fawn, my wife did not want one to look like our previous girl, so we ended with a pretty much closed brindle with little flash. I was thinking you must have got one that summer too!
My email is malexander42@tampabay.rr.com if it is the same litter, it would be of much help to us for her future health.
Sincerely sympathetic for your loss. Mike Alexandr
Concerning Puppies/Dogs
I have read each and every single one of these comments. I have to comment here.
My husband and I have been clients of Landos Boxers for more than 15 years. We bought our first Boxer from Linda of Landos Boxers.
Yes our Puppy "Kahlua" had a heart murmur. Linda made us aware of this at the very beginning. We picked out another Puppy from her but when she told us "Kahlua" had a Heart Murmur we took him instead of the puppy we picked out. We signed all the papers for Linda as per our contract with her. We took "Kahlua" home and we put him on Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy Food and he lost his Heart Murmur within a few weeks. He never had any more Health Problems after that. It is very common for a Puppy to have a Heart Murmur and the puppy should lose it after 6 months as per what our vet told us. We took him to the best Vet that we could find in Ontario...He lived until he was 11 years old. He is in Doggy Heaven now. He was an amazing dog. We had no Aggression Problems, no CKC papers Problems (We had gotten our CKC papers within about 3 weeks after we purchased him from Landos Boxers)... I personally showed "Kahlua" myself in the Dog Shows in Toronto when my husband and I lived in Pickering Ontario.
We were very impressed with Linda. Linda took the time and answered all our questions. She was very helpful during the life of "Kahlua"... Whenever I phoned her yes sometimes it took her a few days to respond to us but Linda is a very busy lady. We went to her house and we stayed a few hours when we picked up "Kahlua" at 8 weeks. We had Tea and Coffee with her. Linda is a very nice person and she takes the time to answer all your questions...
Myself (I am the wife) personally I would purchase another Boxer from Landos Boxers in a heartbeat. I have recommended other people to Landos Boxers and they have had no Health Problems with any of their puppies/dogs...
Before we purchased "Kahlua" from Landos Boxers I thoroughly checked out Landos Boxers. In our personal experience of being clients of Landos Boxers for more than 15 years we have nothing bad to say about Landos Boxers and we would recommend Landos Boxers to anyone.
We plan on purchasing another Boxer from Landos Boxers in the next few months.
Sincerely,
The Drew Family

Poor Service
This breeder is your best friend when you are thinking about buying a puppy. She is all teeth and smiles until you hand her over your money!! Heaven help you if something goes wrong with that puppy. You will never be able to reach her by phone or email. She will never return your calls. The guarantee she offers is a joke and pretty useless if you can't...

I thought I did all the right research in looking for a reputable breeder. One can never tell from just a website so I went to see her in person. The owner comes across very pleasent and answered all my questions. I was told the dogs were health tested, yet I was never shown any copies of documentation. Now I know I should have asked!!! We picked up our...
