Airline
I bought a ticket and spelled my grandma's last name wrong, it was a ticket from Chicago to Delhi for $460. They told me I had to book a whole new flight and they gave me a $56 refund. I booked a new flight for around the same price and everything was good. Because the refund from booking 1 was super low, I disputed it, because of a name change, I was fined around $400. Now they are sewing me for $960. I don't come from money, and for me to get lawyers involved is just not worth it. I am being forced to pay this amount for a small mistake.
Also why are so many other people talking about different refund amounts.
I don't come from money but it might be worth traveling with a different airline even if it's $100 more. I'll rather work an extra day then go through this hell to be honest.
Desired outcome: Refund for my first flight. And cancel this case against me.
Airline ticket refund
I used Indian Eagle to book a refundable ticket, which I had to cancel on December 27 of 2021. Indian Eagle sent me an email with the amount I would be refunded and required that I agree to the amount, which I did. I then received a partial amount. After two months of emailing and calling, I have yet to receive the rest of the refund, with the support staff being extremely unhelpful. Srini Padmanabhan
