Atlanta Cattle Exchange Poor Product/Poor Service

STAW AWAY FROM THESE IDIOTS! Yes, I got suckered by one of their door to door salemen. $451 later, I had a freezer full of meat that was simply "horrible". Lobster claw meat was black and putrid. Bacon wrapped filets were like trying to eat shoe leather. so much gristle. Shrimp were tough and chewy. But trying to communicate with these idiots was the worst part. They simply would not return my calls. Every time I did manage to reach someone, they would give me someone else's name, with a promise of a call back, which never came. PLEASE, let my loss be your gain. If you want steak, seafood or chicken, take your hard earned money to your local grocery store. I would love to see these people put out of business!

I was on a motorcycle ride for a charity event and my wife was home alone. I received a call from her informing me she just bought $170 worth of meat and was very upset about it and I knew, as soon as she said a "guy pulled up in the driveway in a pickup truck with a freezer on the back", I knew it was one of those "salesmen" peddling the sub-standard meat. She tells me the salesman "Mitch", was extremely pushy and wouldn't leave... kept reducing the price so to get him to leave she bought the meat package. She kept telling him "no" and "I'm not interested" but he wouldn't leave. Hind-sight is 20/20 and she should have slammed the door in his face and called 911, thankfully no harm came to her but this has got to STOP! Either these "companies" shell out the money to rent a legitimate establishment to sell their meats or operated solely on the internet - stop hiring and sending out criminals and ex-cons to peddle crappy meat - especially to private homes! I am absolutely infuriated by this and I will make it a mission in my life to make their business "life" a living hell.

The salesman lied told me that I could post date 2 checks to purchase 100.00 worth meat. They were post dated for Oct. 12th & Oct. 19th. They cashed both checks on Oct. 7th causing my bank account to be overdrawn. Thank you Nathan that sells in Mississippi for the cattle exchange. Maybe this company should re train their employees to not scam customers. I...

Atlanta Cattle Exchange High pressure sales /poor product

Do NOT fall for this company's sales' pitch and poor quality product. Unfortunately I felt sorry for the sales guy who convinced me that I was getting a great deal and that he'd done business with lots of folks in the neighborhood. The quality of the meat was poor and they would not return my calls to honor their "guarantee". I had to stop payment on my check and they sicced a collections company on me. Beware!

Atlanta Cattle Exchange beware!

Do not entertain the thought of trying this company. I was solicited by a business man representing this company - very nice guy - sought out my house after seeing all the kids/toys in my yard - and open garage door! Smart business guy. :) Asked me what kind of meat I buy- how much I spend on it, etc... compared their meats to the organic, free range meats I buy and also said their ground beef was sirloin. Each piece of meat is vacuum packed and frozen. The burger patties are in 1/2 lb burgers but vacuumed together two in a pack for a convenient 1 lb of meat. -- this is how it was marketed to me - smart again--- busy mom with kids.

I was asked to buy a 6 box package for $350... don't think so. The guy was so nice --- I told him I would buy one box from him to try it. "they don't sell by the box " So, a 3 box set would only cost me $99. Reluctantly, I bought it. One ground beef, one chicken breast, one chicken "patty" that I thought my kids would like.

Upon browning up my first lb of meat for tacos --- the meat was 75% white gristly filler -something else that was chewy- the other 25% was some "kind" of meat but definitely not "sirloin". It took me 6 times with dawn (the detergent that gets oil off ocean wildlife) to wash my pan and it was STILL greasy. Gross --- and to think this is what I fed my family makes me shudder. Thought it might be a "fluke" - browned another lb a week later. SAME thing .

Next, we tried the honey mustard chicken breasts --- "not treated with hormones, not injected with marinade or saline solutions - the marinade will wash right off if you need a "plain" chicken breast" --- the chicken was tough, chewy, and leaked saline the entire time it was being grilled.

Never even tried the chicken patties after these terrible experiences. Afraid of what I was feeding my family.

Upon calling customer service - one person - she goes my Mrs. Robinson - she is also, conveniently the office manager - I was told I could pick out another meat from the brochure ---- which I still didn't have --- and they would swap out the box that I didn't like. (it's not about not liking it - it's about quality, people). She said she mailed me the brochure ---- It's june --- this was April --- never received it. 3 weeks after that original call... the sales man called and asked me to call him to set up a time to swap out.

I was on vacation. I called upon returning. 3 weeks later, he called me back. We set up a time for him to come over the following business day. Time came and went, no call, no show... still no call.

Called 'customer service' the next day to be met with "mrs. robinson" again ---- this is obviously normal call routine --- upon answering the phone, the staff is combative, rude, and downright unprofessional. It would be safe to say that these are the types of calls they receive most of their day. They are very used to the conversation I had with them and have all their "responses" nailed down. She hung up on me 3 times and then accused me of "harrassing" the operator because I continued to call back. Umm... hello. Yes, I'm going to call back. You hung up on me - 3 times! She talks OVER you, trying to strong arm and use scare tactics to get rid of you.. without resolving the solution. I was simply trying to get a name and a number of someone that is in charge of the customer service and office manager position. A simple request. Every time I asked for a name or number of someone that I could speak to that would be civil - she got louder and louder and talked OVER me and ultimately hung up on me. She says she's 30+ years trained in customer service--- maybe in a collection agency --- but not dealing with customers that "WERE" trying to give the company a 2nd chance - but that failed so simply trying to get their money back.

They want to give me more meat.. Really? Why would I want more bad quality meat? I simply want my money back. She told me "there was no way I was going to get my money back." ... Really? Okay - good luck getting any new customers. You might get a few but they CERTAINLY aren't going to be repeat! Isn't that what a consumable sales company is all about... repeat customers?

The owner Harry Peadon brags of his "millions" on-line - look him up-. He's trying to make it to the "billions' mark - good luck! The only companies that have reached that mark - and stayed there- are ones with integrity of doing right by their customers, making a great consumable product that they can stand behind. We are talking about people's health AND their money. If you really want to make "billions" - how about a customer service department that is for the "customers" - and someone that has a tad bit of social, people skills and integrity.

Consumers are informed now---- it's not the 1960's folks. Too bad when someone knocks on your door you don't have time to go research the company - it's too late for me - I'm out $100+ but just trying to save someone else from losing money by trying to help out someone in sales. Never again...

I have had nothing but good experiences with them. I have been buying their products since they opened. Their prices for individual cut and vacuum packed meats are much lower cost then folks like Omaha Steak and The Chicago steak company. Most of the complaints I see are from people who postdated a check or were looking for something for nothing. They are comparing cuts of meat trimmed of fat and bone with stuff available from the local super market.
Thank you

Atlanta Cattle Exchange Do not work for or purchase from them.

This is a company I made the mistake of Contracting with. They advertise jobs and salaries falsely almost daily. I worked with them in Cumming, GA for a short period of two weeks, and canceled my contract after some of the tactics I learned about.

This company routinely hires manager's and route sales driver's with criminal backgrounds, drug and alcohol problems, etc. I say this because during training, almost daily, their driver's would show up for work either still stoned, drunk, or hung over from the previous night. There is ZERO background checks on employee's and no drug screening, ever.

Their operation is to consign meats, seafood, and chicken packages to the driver's to sell door to door from the back of truck with a freezer. They charge the driver's a high monthly fee to use their trucks, unless they have one of their own to use. Driver's pay for fuel 100% from their own pockets. The salesmen/saleswomen (rare) use high pressure sales tactics to push the meat products daily on local communities at peoples homes or businesses.

The meats themselves are usually of good quality, USDA inspected. But, you could get older meats that are being pushed to be sold first. The average wholesale cost for most of the CASES of meat average $38-$68 for the driver-contractor. He then sells it to the public for up to $350 per case or more. They have a lot of room to play with the prices, but it is a huge markup.

At one time, when I was foolish enough to work for this company after buying meats from them, I didn't have a problem allowing them on my property and even in my home. That changed after meeting and working with the managers and owner's of the company. They had no problem bragging about their criminal records and time spent in prison, nor showing off the different tattoo's they got while serving time.

Since I live in the area of the Cumming, GA office, many complaints have been filed on this company by both former employee's (like myself) and customer's they suckered into buying meats at the highly inflated rates.

My advice to the public, when you see them in your area, meet them at the door with your shotgun and run them off! Or if you don't pack a gun, call your local police department and file a complaint. Under no circumstances, should you ever let them into your home. If you like the meats and the price, negotiate with the driver in your front yard. They prefer cash, and even though I've not experienced or heard of any problems when using a credit card with them, I'd be reluctant just based on the practices I saw personally.

They do operate (Barely) legally, and I can't accuse them of any crime. But think of the Used Car salesman and how you can tell if he is lying to you. If his lips are moving, he is lying. The same is true with the sales tactics of this company, and even what they say to potential drivers to work for them.

They have a huge employee turnover rate, other than the ex-con managers (Unless they get arrested again).

I often complain when I see their false claims on employment ads.

And for any of the Atlanta Cattle Exchange managers that see this posting, it's nothing I haven't said to your face nor anything stated has been falsified. You know that, and that's why I never hear anything in retaliation. You know me, my address, and the fact I have no problem shoving a gun up the noses up your crooked salesmen and driver's and telling them to get off my property...or else.

My suggestion to Atlanta Cattle Exchange. Stop hiring ex cons, drunks, and drug attics. Try being truthful to the public, and fair with the prices and the treatment of your driver's. Then you won't have to change the company name every few years.

For the public, I learned first hand why the sales staff had to travel long distances into rural mountain areas to make any sales. The local communities near their offices quickly got wise to the scams and people near their offices refuse to do business with them. I've only seen two of their trucks in this area in the last few years. The most recent less than a week ago.

The driver's have no issues with ignoring "No Trespassing" or "Posted" signs on your properties. They do have trouble entering with guard dogs, like I have, inside fences.

I immediately looked up this company because yesterday, they showed up in our neighborhood. We live in a moderately upscale neighborhood and it was a little suspicious for two guys who looked like ex-cons to be going door-to-door. They had a white truck and the insignia on the truck made it look a bit like a government or utility company vehicle from a distance. Maybe that's part of the scam -- make you unsure if they are on official business. Regardless, they walked into our open garage and knocked instead of going to the front door. My wife was immediately regretful that she even opened the door -- these two guys looked like they were straight out of the state pen. The worst thing was, we have a little girl and one guy (late 20's/early 30's) was eyeing her up and down in the most grotesque way. We are now wanting to find out if this company hires registered sex offenders, because this guy practically had "pedophile" stamped on his forehead. I'm documenting the exact time and vehicle number, too -- in case we get robbed. That's how much of think of this company and it's felonious employees.

This company may well be a little out of whack, but that's essentially how the sales business is these days. It's a shark tank and the customer is the bait. It doesn't mater how much the company pays for the meat. That's called selling. And I have seen the product and the prices and it is a deal even at almost a 800% mark-up. I know it sounds crazy but if you went to the store you would pay double their price. Furthermore, what is wrong with hiring ex-cons. That's why they are EX-CONS. So what would your rather the man who has paid his debt to society do? They must eat as well. Do you want to continue to give your tax dollars to their daily diet? Or even worse would you rather force this human being into a no choice survival situation because they cannot get honest work and have them rob you or kill u for money for food? DUMMY! Or would you rather see them go out everyday and try to make an honest living and paying their taxes? Don't be foolish...

desidavy, You and I actually met. I know you are one of the managers at the Keith Bridge location, and even was riding with a driver you were training. You and I even talked about the fact I worked for the company briefly and why I left. I watched your New Driver use the same High Pressure sales tactics and even slam the boxes down heavily on the back of the truck (as taught) to make them sound heavier. He went through the script he was coached near perfectly, except I already knew what he was going to say.

At the time I was there, Atlanta Cattle Exchange wasn't charging the drivers for the use of the trucks. You confirmed you are paying a monthly fee that eats into your own profit and salary.

I know the work is hard. I've been an independent Contractor for over 21 years and I am used to working as a contractor. Being Self Employed, even working for another company indirectly, we don't make money if we don't work. It's never a 9-5 job and you often work longer hours, nights, and weekends. As some to the driver's do with Atlanta Cattle Exchange. I know they often work hours when people can be expected to be home so they can try for residential sales.

The Hard Work doesn't bother me, it's the criminals there that do. You claim to have been their twelve years? Maybe, but I only met you once and it was on the road then. So that tells me one of two things, you are either blind to the truth about your office, or a liar. Which is it? Still the same problem I had with you and other managers. You choose to lie and as another person stated, hide behind Jesus and God.

For me, I've been in jail many times. But as a former cop locking up crooks. I can say if I were still a cop, I'd sit outside your office waiting for the driver's to come and go. I know I could catch a few DUI's and some without licenses, and even with drugs on their person or in their trucks. How do I know? I rode with some of those driver's.

Is that cute stripper still working in the front office that comes in hungover or drunk every Monday? Does her boyfriend still drive for you? He also comes in drunk or hungover often. Your managers think it's okay to put him in your company owned trucks to drive around Georgia anyway. Why?

Either way I don't care. I would agree that your company seems to comply with USDA regulations, and the meat is of fair to good quality. Sometimes about the same as the better grocery stores, but often more pricey.

For the record, especially in the neighborhood I live in...even if they are selling "Jesus" and especially JEHOVAH's witnesses, I run these brainwashed cults off my property too. Friends and co-workers are always welcome, along with local cops and fireman, UPS and mail carriers I know. Strangers are not welcome here due to the high crime rate. There was gunfire and cops within a block of me just this morning at 3:17am. Anyone that ignores my "No Trespassing" signs and locked gate, I consider them breaking in and criminals.

For the religious nut above, if it works for you then that's great. But try this, ask your manager about how he got his tattoo's. He'll be proud to tell you about the prison gangs and his time served for trafficking drugs to your kids.

If they have since cleaned up their act that would be great. But judging from the misleading jobs ads they run continuously, and every single week year round, the turn over rate must still be high. Mainly when the "Independent" driver-contractors develop morals or had them in the first place, and want no part of dealing with them and ruining their own reputations locally. Others leave when they discover the company is ripping them off with the salary they promised.

By the way, I attempted to work my butt off...but difficult when you go in a 8am and your "Trainer" is hung over, stoned, wants you to pay his gasoline fill ups, and even goes to Norcross at Pleasant Hill and Buford Highway daily to bang his Girlfriend (or boyfriend) for a nooner with a trainee riding with him. Reporting this to the manager's, they didn't give a damn one way or the other.

This area of Georgia is overrun with the Bible Belt Click, the Good Ole Boy Network (aka the Dixie Mafia), and other crooked business owners. Atlanta Cattle Exchange is in the top as the worst, now that the former Airport Shuttle service owned by George Robins went under. I'm still looking for him to collect the money he owes me, others are hunting him to get rid of him. If you find him, let me know. Don't knock him off before I collect, then you can do what you want with him...just don't tell me about it.

There are other companies like Kayne Industries in Buford, GA that run false job ads for "managers" high pay, etc. But when you show up for the interview, at least they tell you then you are supposed to buy their overpriced Kirby Vacuum cleaners, then go door to door and resell them. Nothing to do with the job at all. They also call it "Carpet Tech" positions.

Here's some sources to back me up, they are in the paper online almost daily.
http://www.accessnorthgeorgia.com/ (95% of the jobs in their classifieds are fake or scams)
http://www.gainesvilletimes.com/
http://www.dawsonnews.com/
http://www.thedahloneganugget.com/classifieds/?loc=detail&main=Help%20Wanted
http://www.dawsonadvertiser.com/
http://www.forsythnews.com/

These are the ones I often check in NE Georgia. There are others near the Lawerenceville, GA offices that are in Atlanta area Job Ads. I don't have any direct knowledge of the people at this office, only the one on Keith Bridge Rd. in Cumming, GA.

Now my disclaimer, even with the false job ads they are still running as of 2/2/2010, If they have since replaced the bad managers I'm speaking of from about 3-4 years ago and cleaned up their act, fired the bad employee's, and are trying to treat the public right, then good for them and keep it up.

Anyone is welcome to check them out for yourself. My advice is should you choose to, don't hand anyone a dime of your money. Don't give them more than two weeks of your time unpaid. Don't sign the contract they offer you until you understand it fully, and make sure you have an "Out Clause" they won't cause you financial harm if you tell them to Stuff it where the sun doesn't shine.

For the "Independent Contractors" that are working for them now. Have you noticed you have to drive 50+ miles and even into South Carolina to find New Customers willing to talk to you? How much repeat business are you getting at least monthly? Are you truly making $600-$1000 per week after you pay all your expenses? Are just barely breaking even or getting by?

For the "Good Drivers" (and even managers) working for this company with a sense of decency about you, I don't include you in this group. They do get some excellent people, but they generally loose them once they see the inside operations. I truly hope they did clean up their act. But judging from other posts more recent than my original post and the ads they are still running, it doesn't appear that way.

This job is for criminals. Just going to be frank with everyone. The salary like the original guy posted is all made up and dont tell you up front that this is a sales job. The selling tactics are terrible and sometimes criminal. Its a horrible work environment and its true almost all the people if not all are junkies and jail people. I was out of work about a year ago and went in and had to leave after about an hour. I was like this is unreal, lol. The worst part about it too is that they try to use God and mix it with the business. God is obviously not apart of this business just by seeing the way the managers teach the people. They asked to give a hands of the people there who ever been locked up and I can honestly say that day with about 100 people i was the only one who was a jailer. This is a job for people who have no where else to go and life is falling apart. I cant believe that they are even still in business, lol, wow. On my final note, maybe you can make a little change doing this job but its not guaranteed money as posted, liars. As for me, Ill just stick to finishing up med school.

I am currently employeed by the Cattle Exchange Company. I am a hard working person who is trying to support my family. I have never been in trouble with the law or taken drugs. It is true that some people may not be the best of characters but no person I have met have ever been in trouble with the law for dangerous crimes. A few people have been in trouble for petty crimes. Like any company a few bad apples ruin it for the rest of us. I have never used false tactics to sell meat and I do not over price the meat. I check the stores prices and mark the meat I sell to be a bargain. The meat is of high quality and I have never had a customer complaint. I have many repeat customers. You should never allow any person you do not know into your home. I have never asked or invited myself into a potential customer's home. If someone from Cattle Exchange comes to your home simply tell them you are not interested and they will leave. I have seen many comments that people will show them a gun. These statements are ridiculous becasue these people do not want to harm you, only sell a product. It is also illegal to point a gun at someone even if they are on your property. Would you pull a gun on a Christian coming to talk about Jesus? These people mean you no harm just rememebr that every company gets complaints and if you google any store or company than you would never shop or buy from anywhere!

We bought a meat package, at the end of the day. My husband wasn't home and the sales man said he had already talked to him and that my husband want to buy some meat. He would hold the check until my pay day, which he knew. He said he would hold it until at least three days past. So my husband came home and we did get the meat. However, much to our surprize, two days later, our check went through the bank. Our bank didn't pay, so the check was returned. We received a letter from the cattle exchange, "manager/vice president", saying we owed this amount. My husband called and made arangements to pay for the check on the day it was supposed to be paid to begin with. A week and a half later. I called the payment in, using my account, received a faxed copy of my check, and the receit and paid in full. The same day the cattle exchange sent the check through again to the bank. We didn't know this until I went to put money into our checking accout. We tried calling and could never get through. The following monday we received our normal bank statement and low and behold the cattle exchange sent the check back through two more times. Two days in a row. This time the bank paid on because there was money in the account. We also had 3 nsf charges of 32 dollers. We took our faxed receite to the bank and they did refund one of the charges. Yes the paid it twice. But we were told that it was up to us to get the rest back. We contact the Vice president and was told that he would have the matter setttled with in the day... That was at the end of November 2008. It is now the beginning of Jan.2009. We make calls daily and are told that the accounts are refunding as we speak.. And yet no money has been returned to us..

I too bought meat from a friend who was working for them. The meat was bad and the sea food was the worse. DOES anyone know how to get my money back? This is a shame to rip off people who really need to work and othes who are trying to make ends meet.

I just want to say that I have read many complaints about the cattle exchange company and its employees and wanted to put my input in on this matter. The first time I purchased meat products from this company was in Feb. 2009, knowing nothing at that time of the company. The meat I thought was decently priced, portions were okay, and most everything actually tasted pretty good, plus we never got sick from any of it, thank god. We would occasionally eat the products purchased untill it was gone till now (Feb. 2010). I call the saleman up for another delivery but he told me he no longer worked for them and refered me to someone else. I called the company up and one of their driver/ salesmen showed up about an hour and a half later. He showed me the products and we talked about price and I bought some beef and pork for just over $300.. He was never pushy and was quite patient with me and my wife while we figured out what we wanted to do. So needless to say, my personal experince went fairly well. I just hope that the meat is as good as the last batch we had. thanks.

I had the same experience and had this man named ryan mclane and he was very pushy. I just wrote him the check because there was two men and I was scared. Then I called and had the check cancelled. This man starts calling me all hours of the night asking why did i stop payment and send the meat back to the cattle exchange. He is now saying he is a independent contractor and It was his meat after saying oh I worked for ten years for them when he was in my house selling me the meat. He was nothing but lies and that company is a fraud. Ft.Walton Beach, Fl The jeffersons

Same thing happened to me with a man named Earl Bennitt(with the cattle exchange in cumming, ga.), he said he would hold my check(for 2 days) then went right (as soon as he left my house) to "my" bank and cashed it. What is sad about the whloe thing is he almost had a good customer, but I will never buy meat from this company again. It's sad a company feels the need to do this to sell products. I called and left a message with the company only to not have my phone call returned by this man.

Wow! I am SO glad I saw these complaints! I was trying to log on to the "Cattle Exchange" website to apply as a driver/contractor after I saw the ad on a pickup truck I was behind on the way home to Douglasville. Needless to say, I've changed my mind. It will be very hard to keep my composure from now on whenever I see them out practicing their "skills" . They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau and the local news stations (if they haven't already).

Atlanta Cattle Exchange Door-to-door meat sellers rip off!

On Dec. 6, a pair of men drove up to my house and offered to sell me frozen, vacuum-packed meat at a "real bargain", 40% off retail! I went out to look at their wares, and they had cases of meat, chicken, pork and seafood. The product looked very nice, vacuum packed.

They said they had a satisfaction guarantee, and would make me a great deal on the meat, since it was the end of the day and they wanted to get home. I ended up buying one case of steak and one case of mixed chicken/pork. The total cost was over $450.

One of the men carried the food up to our front deck while I paid the other. After they left, my wife and I started putting the meat away in our freezer. We were surprised at how little the meat weighed, given how much we paid. After checking the net weights on all the packages, we were surprised to see that we had purchased a total of only 38.5 pounds of meat, with about 16 pounds of that being beef and the rest a mix of chicken and pork. The per-pound cost came out to a little less than $11.85 per pound, which is expensive meat anywhere in America, certainly not 40% off retail!

I contacted the company the next day to complain, and was foisted off to a "manager" who took my complaint. He said that the records showed that I had received two cases of steak and one of pork/chicken. I told him that this was not true, and we argued for a while. He said he would contact his boss and would call me the next day.

No call came in the next day. I called and left a message. On Monday, I called two of their offices and was told I would be contacted the next morning. No call came in. I called again the next day, late in the afternoon, and was told that they were going to "give" me another box of beef.

By this time all I wanted was to get a refund for the meat and return it. This was not an option, according to the person who spoke with me. I told them I didn't want another case of meat, and didn't even have a place to put it, that my freezer was full. She told me to give it away as a Christmas present.

I was also told that "on the back of the brochure" it was clearly stated that I had only three days to complain, and that it had to be in writing (certified letter, I believe she said.) I tried to tell her that I had never seen a brochure (because I had not), but she talked right over the top of me and said she wasn't going to argue with me, that I wasn't going to get my money back. As far as that goes, it would have been nice if someone had told me about the requirement for a letter the first time I called.

With a "guarantee of satisfaction" and an unhappy customer with a lot of unopened meat, I'd think they would want to keep themselves from getting a bad reputation by settling things. But I've since then seen other mentions of the company on the Internet with complaints about bad customer service, so I guess I should have checked first.

I worked for these jerks as Country Fed Foods and The Cattle Exchange . It was good meat but the scams were incredible. They did hire a bunch of ex cons. They did hire drug addicts. The Riverdale Police Captain was always on scene at night with an intimidating effect more than security reasons
.i"
I saw all the good, bad and ugly they had to offer from the inside out.
Its all true.
They buy a box for $55 and offer it tot he salesman for $85 to $120 per box (depending how long you have been there) Do the math
At times, unsold product or product that was mishandled and re frozen is resold on the street at
half price"old and

But, its a revolving door with help wanted ads and weekly new recruit meetings

I was amused to read the post by the "Smith Family". A so obviously fake posting that I would not be at all suprised if it were written by the infamous Claude Walker, a person that it was my misforntune to have dealings with when my wife was ripped off to the tune of $168. When I phoned the local office I was directed to the Corporate office who in turn directed me to the local office. I phoned Walker on numerous occassions but somehow he was always out on business. When it finally became apparent to them I was not going away he took my calls and proceeded to inform me that I had not sent in the correct paperwork so they could not do anything. (untrue as it happens) He gave me the name of the local manager and his phone # and said he was the one that would sort a refund out. Of course this was the very person that had directed me to Walker saying he did not have the authority to issue refunds. To cut a long story short this went on for several months, with no refund, until suddenly one day every phone number for every office was disconnected.

I found out today the reason for the disconnections. The company changed its name to FARM FRESH FOODS. The salesman actually turned up on our doorstep today with the old Cattle exchange T shirt but the new logo on the truck.

I told him if he did not leave I would push the meat so far up his %^&$ he'd be eating it himself. He left!

I made the mistake of buying two boxes of chicken without taking time to check out the company. Didn't look at boxes, just put them in the freezer. The box on the bottom was not what I had asked for. Additionally I learned that all chicken was injected with a solution that comprised about 20% of the weight. Therefore the already high cost per pound of actual meat was significantly higher. Never again. DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

The company sucks and so does the meat! Do not buy...you will NEVER get your money back. Customer service is trained to not SEE your certified letter of cancellation until it is too late. BUYER BEWARE! I worked for Country-Fed meats back in the early 90's. I went back to Atlanta Cattle Exchange in 2010 for about 4 monyhs...nothing has changed but the name! I worked in the office in accounting. So embarassing to lie to customer and say check is on the way when I knew it had not even been cut. No plans to pay. Buy at your own risk!

My take on ACE. A truck and two guys knocked on my garage door about 2 weeks ago, which is already a bit off if you ask me. The guy gave me the same sales pitch I have read all over the web about selling to a bunch of my neighbors, would give me a good deal since it was the end of the day yadda yadda yadda. He was nice, but kind of creepy and sweaty and caught me way off guard to be honest. I really didn't want any of it but I did buy the case after he gave me a very good price. As they were packing my freezer, my husband pulls in and I hear them say "Hurry, the father is home!". Holy red flag, as if they were not going up already. Now, by this point, I had already signed and paid. They were gone in a flash. My husband was skeptical and after the entire weird experience, so was I. I immediately got on the web and read a lot of bad stuff. Then, one of my neighbors who also made a purchase told me it was not good stuff at all. I can't say myself because I never did try it but after the bad neighbor review and the mostly bad reviews online, I decided to get out. Luckily, I had paid with a credit card! I immediately faxed and mailed (certified usps) the Notice of Cancellation to the company. That way I had proof of their receipt of the notice within the time frame allowed. I then contacted my credit card company to advise them of the situation. A few days went by...nothing. I called and left a message letting them know I had confirmation that they had received my Notice and that the 20 day clock was ticking and I would dispose of the meat if not picked up in the 20 days. A few more days go by. I get a call from the original salesguy saying he would be by the next night to pick it up. 3 more days go by...no salesguy. Finally I get another call from Corporate saying a different guy would be picking it up. My guess, they heard from my card company and realized that they were not going to get paid by the card company so they had best just get their meat back. Just my guess. I do wonder if they would have come had I paid with cash or a check. Anyway, sure enough, a guy shows up last night and picks it up, no questions asked. He was actually a nice, normal guy. No creepy factor like the original one. So long story short, I was able to return the meat and reverse the charge on my credit card. Maybe because I had the power of a credit card dispute behind me or the paper trail confirming they had my Notice of Cancellation...who knows. Some people may like the quality and think it is a great deal. That's fine and dandy. Others may not. Thats fine too. My lesson learned is I don't buy frozen meat products, out of the back of a truck, from an aggressive salesperson, unsolicited. I believe you get what you pay for and if you want good steaks, go pick them out of your butchers case yourself OR be prepared to pay premium for frozen from a company like Allen Brothers.com.

My name is Jeremy and I work with The Atlanta Cattle Exchange. With what I've personally seen and with what I've read some of the people say on here I just don't understand the transition in views. Do some of you people hear yourselves...selling fat chicks, paying off police, thugs runnung scams and harboring fugitives. You sound ridiculous. This isn't some New York crime syndicate. This is a ligitimate business. Everyone hires bad eggs every now and then but I personally can attest for any meat sold from this company, and I challenge anyone on here to prove me wrong. Call [protected] ask for Jeremy, and I will personally bring you individually wrapped flash frozen and vacuum sealed(free of freezer-burn) choice grade restaraunt cut and trimmed steak, chicken, pork, and seafood products at prices equal to or lower than your local market. I am no different than the person that works behind the deli counter in Krogers or Ingles or wherever. If you disagree, don't get on here just call my number and prove me wrong. If I prove you wrong though(and I will if you're a reasonable and logical person), I do expect you to get on here and retract any negative statements you've previously made.

The Atlanta Cattle Exchange is the bomb, they delivered to my sister yesterday, and so I bought some of everything to try it out. My husband & I are very pleased. It's good food, they deliver, and our salesman was so kind enough to put it all in our freezer too. It was such a nice experience we all plan to start just ordering once a month to save the time and money at the grocery store. I HIGHLY recommend buying your meat, seafood & chicken here.
