Flight check in
This morning we had an issue starting our car, had to jump start it, got to New Plymouth airport 6.20am, which we thought was still fine, spent 5 minutes looking for a carpark and made terminal at 6.27am. My daughter has booked a flight for July holidays for 4 days from Christchurch to Nelson & return at a cost of $49 each way for ticket for a 10 year old unaccompanied minor.. On top of this is the travelling alone increase to $30 & now another $20 for checked bag. Previously a children could take a small suitcase on the flight. So that's another $50 each way on top of the air ticket a total cost of $198.
Three children from the same family fly together every Christmas & during the year as well either in pairs or on their own.
The same family of 5 have booked a flight mid December for under just under $500 without insurance.
I consider these extra charges as excessive. Please revise.
