I called this agent to find out about her short sale service. Long story short, I felt she thought she was above my situation because when I told her I needed to sell, she hinted to the point I should make my payments on time and I would be in my situation. This agent Rekha Chatwani is one of the rudest and most un-professional agents I have ever spoke to. It's amazing she is in the real estate business to begin with. First off, when you
speak her, she is very short, and so hard to understand. I can't believe she not a huge liability to this company. I'm sure she can't spell english correctly, she sure can't speak it.
You can't even understand what she is saying. I'm spreading the word to everyone I know not to do business with her, and
as a consequence, not to do business with your company. This is just another example of the lack of professionals this company associates its self with. If you don't believe me, call her for yourself to see just how rude she is: [protected] - You've been warned.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Very short interaction but I agree with mostly all comments as to Rekha being rude and not professional at all.
FRAUD alert...stay away from these people. Especially Rekha...had nightmare working with her during entire process. She is very rude, unprofessional and unethical person. People working with her please try to change your agent if its not too let and also try to get things in written whatever is promised. We hired her for selling our house and buying a new house. Since we were doing both things in parallel, we were in time crunch on selling the house, getting the money and putting it on new house. The whole process became so tensed since there was no plan from her side, everything was so unorganized that we were not aware of when are we going to list the house, when is it going to be open house, when do we see the offers etc..we were always on the edge whether we could make it or not. On top of that she was constantly after us to write a good words for us even before completing the whole process. At the end, she told us we got only offer (can you believe it in this market this can happen) that too from a buyer whose buyer was she, herself. We really felt she double crossed her, by getting her own buyer and getting full commission(buyer + seller) from us. But because of time crunch, we didn't get chance to do another open house and get more offers.
Our new house was brand new construction and we took her to builder on our first visit. She was very prompt during this process. She advertises that she will give us 50% of her commission from whatever she gets from builder. Most of these things were verbal from her side and only written thing we had for this was in the email that we sent to her which she never acknowledged. In the end of whole transaction we literally had to fight for this part of the deal and we never got promised 50% on the new house purchase. After going through lots of arguments and talking about taking legal actions, she tried to give some percent of her commission from old house (which was quite less than new house price) back. We really felt cheated at this point and we really didn't know how to handle this situation as she had completely lot our trust that we really don't wanted to deal with her anymore. HORRIBLE person.
Although her husband seem to be decent guy, but he is fully under her shadow and he don't have any mind of his own. She completely dominates him and when he tried to take our side in this matter, she just made him shut up and leave the room.
I would really suggest especially first time home buyers to stay away from her as they are more gullible. Never thought that we would get deceived from older gentlemanly people in this country.

I totally agree with your intial post and thanks for starting awareness about those 2 fraudsters of fremont, she and her husband.I can say i agree 200% to what you say, She is the most obnoxious person in service business that i ever spoke to, first of all i am surprised she could get her license .Recently I happened to talk to her and she has shown her true face right away when i refused to answer something she doesn't need to know, she immediately got irritated and started calling me stupid and started talking ### and her husband seconds her.I would never work with such people and i will spread this awareness to all my friends.
Bhaambhat--I heard the same from her calling me "calling me foolish, without brains, wasting her time".I pity on her english atleast she could have developed different ways of swearing people as she does only that with everyone.

Rekha has, in a span of 3 emails, shown me a side I'd never imagine existed in a people-facing person, especially and Indian-origin lady nearly my mom's age. I was deeply disturbed, upset and disappointed by this person who keeps and appearance of a social messiah to the Indian community seeking homes in the bay area. The language, approach, choice of words and message was so harsh, hurtful, thoughtless and brash.
I had just started looking for homes when a listing by Rekha came up. I had missed the open house, so I dropped her email asking if the house was still available. I did not realize I had to get my agent to do this. She replied and set up a date/time and also asked if I had an agent, to which I replied yes. To this, she replied calling me foolish, without brains, wasting her time and getting her to spend money on gas etc etc.
I still wonder how is it that some people have happy reviews for this duo. Personally, I am certain she will single-handedly drive herself out of business by her rudeness and unprofessional approach.
Rekha Chatwani is terrible person to work with. Yea now and then you may find some people that are happy with her. But you are taking your chances. If you do a search on Yelp, and unfiltered the comments, you will find that there tons of people that just don't like this Realtor. Somehow she paid Yelp to hide all the bad comments.
Beware and stay away from Rekha. This lady is bad news. And calling her a lady is a stretch.

We heard about this guy (Ashok Chatwani) in 1170am radio show and went with our loan re-finance
This is by far the most terrible experience we have had.
Very unprofessional and incompetent staff. No courtesy or sense of responsibility. Very Very Frustrating.
I hope more people complain to better business bureau to shut down this sleazy organization.

I do not know her potential/capabilities as Realtor, all I understand is she is the most rude and obnoxious woman. Most unprofessional, I am surprised that she yelled at me on phone for a simple inquiry. I recommend people never do businees with her, If she can't be a good "Human being", she can't be good in anything in her life. She just seems to be a very frustrated woman on her own failures / challenges. I hope I never have to deal with his arrogant woman ever agian in my life. I do hope that she becomes a better person in life and improve her English ( drastically pathetic ).
I completely disagree with the above comments on Rekha Ji. I had a wonderful experience with her. She is highly professional and knows how to treat her clients. Myself and my husband had a very good experience with Rekha Ji and Ashok Ji. We got our first new home coz of their efforts.Rekha Ji and Ashok Ji have worked very hard in getting things done .Today I will be moving to my new home and the credit goes to Rekha Ji and ofcourse Ashok Ji who worked really hard in getting our load approved. She made sure that we get our keys for our new home as fast as possible.I really like her. She is very disciplined. Her English is really good.Common atleast have respect for her age. I really don't understand why people are bothered about their language. As far as I know she speaks really well. Being her client I have learnt a lot of things.She is a very strong and career oriented woman.
I would highly recommend Rekha Ji and Ashok Ji to anyone out there!
Rekha is the worst Realtor that I have seen. She is rude, arrogant, and watch out she will spoil a deal by her
sheer arrogance. What is worse is she can't even pronounce a common word in English like "speaking" which she pronounces as "ispeaking".
watch out, stay as far as possible from this Realtor and her husband as they are both out there to get you and they will scoop down to any level to cheat you and other organizations, be it short sale or a regular sale. She will mislead you, hide all truths and provide you with false information, and will employ unacceptable and unethical business practices to do anythign she wants. She is also highly impatient and just cares about herself and maximizing her money with minimal amount of time. Even when she is supposedly doing business with you, she is on the phone talking to someone else. She just will take any job even it conflicts with your assignment. She is highly unprofessional and unethical. My suggestion is that you stay away as far as possible.
