Do not order online from this retailer. I ordered a $199 bike attachment for my 4 year old daughter. While REI shipped in a timely manner, for some unknown and irrational reason, they instructed UPS to only deliver it in person to me. I kept signing the release forms but because of REI’s instructions, UPS would not leave it at my door as requested on the release form. I specifically ordered this item on-line to save myself time and aggravation of driving 2 hours to the closest REI store. Because of this snafu, it took over a week for UPS to re-route package this to my office since I could not be at home waiting for them to show up during the work week to receive it. I will never order from REI again. Nowhere on the web site or order form did REI indicate that they would ship with these restrictions. This was a ridiculous restriction to place on the shipment especially a shipment sent to a residential address. Also, it was particularly frustrating that I was willing to accept responsibility for UPS to leave the package but REI demanded otherwise. I find REI wholly at fault for this fiasco. If you want the convenience of ordering merchandise online, stay away from this business. They are a joke!
