As a customer of Recovery.org, I found the information and resources on the website to be helpful in my journey towards recovery. The site offers a variety of articles, tools, and support options for individuals seeking assistance. However, the layout and navigation could be improved for better user experience. The search function can also be more precise to quickly find relevant content.

Go elsewhere! RUN, do not walk, to the nearest exit.

After 6 weeks I pulled my loved-one out. Here is the summary of services as opposed to what was promised.
PROMISE: You can call anyone at any time. TRUTH: You can call once per day only at the front desk while directly watched by an attendant. PROMISE: Anyone can call you at any time. TRUTH: You will get an answering service or the front-desk attendant and you're message will NEVER be delivered. The number of messages left over my 6-week experience was 19 and the number delivered was ZERO. PROMISE: you will be seen by a Psychiatrist. TRUTH: you will speak to a Psychiatrist once, for 30 minutes, in 6 weeks. PROMISE: you will have a therapist. TRUTH: You will see an intern. I can't even be sure they are paid. Very sincere about learning, but they are unsupervised and pretty much feeling their way through. No therapeutic benefit will be recognized. PROMISE: a safe environment: TRUTH: Everything you have will be stolen from you - especially if you go to the AA meetings. After 6 weeks, my loved one basically had nothing left. Clothes, glasses, everything - a slow bleed over time, little-by-little. PROMISE: you can call a "patient intake" professional at any time if there is a problem. TRUTH: you will be shunted to a voice mail and NEVER get a call back.

COST: about $9, 000 per month. GOOD for them and BAD for you. That $9, 000 pays for pretty much a bed. If that well-paid psychiatrist sees everyone for 30 minutes every 6 weeks, they're getting a pretty penny for her time because she's spread pretty thin. The intern "therapists" may in fact cost them nothing. I would recommend better therapy by taking that $9, 000 and booking a Ritz in Maui for a whole month - you're getting a much better bed with about the same therapeutic value. This is pretty much a scam and they should be shut-down for preying on your need to get your loved-one the care they so badly need.

BOTTOM LINE: Take all the promises they make - then throw them out. They are predators, collecting money from you because you care so much about your loved one - and then delivering nothing. Take heed of the advice you get after your loved one completes rehab. They will tell you to be careful, as there is no recognized accreditation for this kind of post-rehab service - if there were, A BETTER TOMORROW would clearly fail.
