Primary rhinoplasty August 2020
Waited 30 plus years to finally do this
Did initial phone screen w coordinator (during Covid) and gave deposit over phone. She had Dr Kassir call me and he pretty much rambled on about Covid and my glasses and said he could fix tip and narrow and help my breathing bc I get migraines all the time w deviated septum.
Went to Nj for my pre-op consult where I met his male medical coordinator who was OBSESSED with me paying ASAP and signing everything quickly. He then informed me I wouldn't be meeting Kassir because he was way behind in surgery unless I wanted to wait 21/2 hours?
He proceeded with ‘don't worry we will send your pictures and then in a few months we will have big unveil day and you will cry with happiness!'
So odd.
He never asked what I wanted and when I tried to tell him he said ‘just tell the Dr on your OR day he will know what to do.'
Or day comes and I'm told my slot was moved to last for day and here I was, waiting bc ny ride left.. for over 1 1/2 hours in waiting room
Finally I'm on table with wailing post op patient next to me screaming as she's coming out of anesthesia.
The anesthesia dr quickly goes over stuff has me initial.. FINALLY Dr Kassir come running over to me exhausted and says ‘so revision right?'
Noooooooo Dr K this is my primary and I need septum opened.
Oh ok great can't wait to get in there
Fast forward to him never checking up bc he was late for appts down the road in Wayne.
An office person called at around 9.. she was not friendly and sounded so angry.
I went in to NYC w my daughter for postop and the room was packed. They told my 14 yr old to wait outside on the street and proceeded to put me in a room and his MA came in ‘sorry Dr k is dealing w something let me just clean out for you
I said ‘I can't breathe at all..'
She said ‘uhhhh fine we need to go to other building and use suction.'
We went outside and my daughter is waiting on step and she quickly sucked out a little bit and said ‘that's all I can do.. we are slammed today see you for splint removal.'
She walked me outside and quickly entered original office.
I walked up to desk and they were swamped and said someone would call and let me know time to come back. I called 2x nothing happened, they said they were short staffed, Covid etc...
I went to a Dr friend locally for him to take off splint, this was horrible service.
Now it's 6 months later my bridge is still so wide, my breathing is horrible and the tip is still bulbous. He just shortened my nose. The bones on right side show ridge and the whole process felt like it was so rushed with no follow up.
I am in the medical industry and I have seen first hand what ‘good' looks like with customer service.
This was at the very least a rush job and it really makes me sad I spent 17, 500 to stay local and now I feel I should have flown to west coast where my original choice was. My friend went to Dr Kassir in July and she just told me today she's miserable too.
We both thought we would be getting star treatment and our dream nose. It feels horrible.
All the revisions he's done on his own work state they come out worse and many are even done with local to be cheaper?! Shame on them for charging this much to end up with the same nose and breathing issues.

Desired outcome: Refund or partial refund but I’ve heard it’s impossible
