Ramda Inn review: Staff member being very rude and hateful and inappropriate

9/24/2022 at 8:15PM (or there abouts) - I feel I should start this by saying, I have here at the Ramada Inn as a guest paying weekly rent since May 17,2022 , in the exact same room continuously. I have never once had any type of issues with any other staff member on this property. Have had a single incident or issue. There has always been great repour between myself and the staff members here - saying hey, how are you today? small talk, smiles, laughs. My room is a non-smoking room so I have always went outside to smoke as to not be in any trouble for smoking in my room. My room is located on the back side of the building, so when I go outside every single night to smoke, I take the back door into the back parking lot and sit there smoke, to re-enter the building using the backdoor you must have your room key it is the only way to open the door to get into the building. Tonight however, after just getting a car two days ago and before that I walked everywhere, so having the car today I was able to go the laundromat, when I got back to the hotel, I brought in my very heavy duffle bag full of the laundry I had just done into the room coming through the back door as I parked in the back parking lot to be able to see my car from my room, then I had to return to my car to get my things from the store, my bookbag because I am a student at Forsyth Tech, and my food I had just got for dinner and once again returned to my room through the back door as I always do, I brought everything in put everything up went to use the restroom, grabbed my cigarettes' and went back outside to the back parking lot to smoke, when I come through the back door on the way o my room I am stopped by a staff member with a Security shirt on who said hatefully "don't come through that door no more!" I instantly kind of snickered because it was crazy to me that anything was being said, smiling I said " I have been here for 5 months and there has never been an issue with me using that door before, why is there a problem now?" which his reply was " Oh we ain't arguing about nothing here, when they say something to me, I say something to you, Do we have a problem here? while throwing his hands around. Just very uncalled for, I have never once been rude to single person here, and he could have handled that in so many different ways, without being the way he was to me. I in no way deserved to be talked to or treated that way what so ever, I had done absolutely nothing at all wrong, I was using a door that my room key opens, and no where on it or near it does it say that guests aren't allowed to use it. I understand that this hotel is in a part of town that may not be the best, but I am here because as a single women I can number afford it weekly, and number two because I felt safe being here alone because of the staff members here! Just because we are in a part of town that people may do questionable things in and around, doesn't mean that it is ok to stereotype me as someone that has to be up to something or doing something wrong simply because I had to make a couple trips to my car to bring things into my room. It shouldn't have been an issue if I had gone in and out of it a million times honestly, because as previously stated, I have been here for 5 months and have never caused a single problem or issue with anyone here, so how can I get "in trouble" for coming through a door, that opens with my guest room key? How is it ok to be rude and hateful with someone just simply because you can? That shouldn't be ok. I would understand if I had cussed, caught an attitude, said something sideways, But all I did was ask a very simple question " why is it an issue right now? and it never has been before tonight? If I had done or said something wrong I would totaly understand the reaction the he had, but as a very loyal customer, this shouldn't be ok. I did absolutely nothing at all wrong.
