I purchased Sweet Jack.com gift certificates for Quarter Bistro restaurant in Ann Arbor in November for my husband and myself and for a gift for friends of ours. Tonight we enjoyed a truly wonderful meal with terrific service until it was time to pay. We used our gift certificates ($50 each couple) and were told we were only allowed to use 1 per table. We were extremely upset and shocked by this, as we had ordered wine and dessert, which we don't usually do since $50 would be paid by the gift certificates. The manager was very defensive and absolutely stood his ground. We would never have purchased the Sweet Jack certificates if we would have had any idea we would be hassled about using them- no where on the certificate does it state- 1 per table or any thing other than tip the waitress on the entire bill. We, as a precaution had mentioned to the waitress that we had SweetJack certificates (plural) and she said "fine, just use them when you pay. Needless to say our lovely evening was destroyed and we will never again purchase anything from SweetJack or return to Quarter bistro.

    I have never heard of a rest. allowing more than one cert or coupon per table, ever. It is an industry standard to accept only one per table.
