What this company doesn't steal they will destroy. We had our belongings in a storage unit in Washington and ended buying a house in Minnesota. We left a key with the manager at the storage unit and we were not there to supervise. They think this is permission to steal. Once they had half of our things loaded on the truck the price went from $10,800 to over $23,000. We told them to unload everything and lock things back up. We were told for them to due that they would keep the $10,800 plus need to pay more. We reluctantly went ahead with the move. When the truck got to our house the driver introduced us to his two year old son. Needless to say the kid kept getting in the way. See attached photo showing the kid with our pool noodle and his metal toy truck on the driveway right where two of the movers are working. When the kid was told to take that toy truck out of the house and not to bring weeds and rocks into the house, he went complaining to his dad. His dad told him he didn't have to do what we told him and he can do what he wants. I should have told the driver to put that kid in the truck and leave him there. We heard the driver drop an antique cast iron signal cannon used many years ago on the Mississippi to warn other boats that there was another boat approaching around the bend. He told us it wasn't going to hurt anything. After that they dropped other items if they figured it was close enough to the ground. When we pointed out that the oak dining room table was broken the driver said it was fine and it was the leaf. When we finally convinced him it was broken he said we could glue it and it would be fine. We were charged for moving blankets and tv boxes - none were used. They did use and destroy the moving blankets that we had purchased. They used a pillowcase for a small tv and the matching sheet was used to "pad" a cabinet. Every piece of wooden furniture was damaged or totally destroyed. With part of our belongings still on the truck the driver said if we wanted the rest we would have to pay $250 because they hand to go down 12 steps to the basement 10 times. When pointed out that the contract says they may charge $50 to $75 if they have more than 7 steps. If I wanted the rest of my things I had to pay or he would keep them. He did drop the ransom to $200. One of our White Clad cabinets were packed so tightly with boxes that the bottom fell out. Totally destroyed were our dining room table and eight chairs, oak desk and a once beautiful king size mahogany sleigh bed. Some of the items stolen were jewelry, propane weed torch, 2 brand new gallons of paint, hand truck, locks and keys to storage unit, room air cleaner, and other items. We were told we had 90 days to send in photos and description of damages and they had 60 days after that to get the settlement to us. We are now told because someone in the claim department is off on maternity leave they have 90 days. We would like to get our furniture fixed and replace the items they down right stole. Don't use this company - What they don't steal they will destroy.

Desired outcome: They need to respect others' property and pay for the damages they caused.
