Thought I was being smart making arrangements through hotels.com, but just discovered that it was a $41 mistaken for one night and $20 for another night. The people who checked in before me walked in and asked about a AAA rate and were quoted $112 incl tax...I looked at my confirmation email and saw that I had $153 incl tax. Ouch. I tried to correct it for my next night's stay, but it's too late to cancel and save the difference. I just tweeted @hotelsdotcom and @hotels_com and included #hotelsdotcomfail. I'm usually a savvy traveler, but trusted their rates way too much. I should know to call hotels directly...at least they're understanding and willing to work with you if your plans change. Hotels.com utterly fails.
