Anyone who is a member of costco knows you need your card to get in the door. I work for another retailer and this sounds like the typical customer who feels that the rules do not apply to him

As a long time retail employee it never fails to amaze me that it is the store causing stress and embarrassment when the customers check or credit card is declined, like the clerk is the one making the decission. My favorite is that they expect a manager to force it through for them. Checks, as someone pointed out, are not legal tender, and the riskiest form of payment for an establishment to accept, and there is no obligation to do so.
Since toys r us is wheelchair accessable why would you not just bring your own? Why would you expect a store to supply you with one so you can shop? They are a store for babies and small children, should they have 50 strollers avavilable for customers use, oh wait, I believe most people bring their own strollers to put their child in.
