I am writing to file this complaint against Professional Coin Galleries (PCG), CEO James Garafalo, and VP Peter Fetherston regarding the extremely distressing and unsatisfactory experience I have had as their customer. It is crucial that this matter is addressed promptly to prevent others from falling victim to PCG's dubious practices.

I placed my initial order with PCG after multiple unsolicited phone calls, eventually entrusting them with over $400,000 in qualified funds to set up a gold IRA. However, PCG has failed to honor their lifetime guarantee, as only a fraction of my IRA order was received by the depository. Upon returning the incomplete order as instructed, I have not been adequately compensated for my significant investment. This breach of their commitment is deeply troubling and has left me empty-handed and at a financial loss.

To compound the issue, PCG sent me an unexpected shipment of coins that I never ordered, demanding an additional payment of $144,200. This attempt to extort more money from me is both unethical and unacceptable. I refuse to be coerced into paying for items I did not request nor intend to purchase.

Despite waiting for months and attempting to resolve this matter, PCG has shown no willingness to provide a satisfactory solution. Their lack of communication, accountability, and failure to address my concerns only reinforce the suspicion that PCG operates with ulterior motives.

Based on my experience, it is evident that PCG seems to engage in deceptive practices, misappropriation of funds, and disregard their own guarantees. Their actions raise concerns of potential involvement in a Ponzi scheme, which poses a serious threat to anyone seeking to invest in coins or precious metals.

By sharing my story, I hope to prevent others from encountering the frustrations and disappointment that have accompanied my dealings with PCG, specifically owner James Garafalo and VP Peter Fetherston.

Despite waiting for months and attempting to resolve this matter, PCG has shown no willingness to provide a satisfactory solution. Their lack of communication, accountability, and failure to address my concerns only reinforce the suspicion that PCG operates with ulterior motives.

When I contacted the Iplan group who is the fiduciary on the IRA account in September,  they told me that they no longer work with PCG because of all the issues they’ve had with them over the last two years. They said clients are “lawyering up!” 

By sharing my story, I hope to prevent others from encountering the frustrations and disappointment that have accompanied my dealings with PCG, specifically owner James Garafalo and VP Peter Fetherston.

Run away as fast as you can from this firm.

I really like that PCG. They do good coin stuff and don't mess around. They got a big selection and the peeps there know their stuff. Ain't gonna find no better place to get your coin collectin' on.

Professional Coin Galleries is legit, their stuff is dope. They got some rare coins that I ain't never seen before. It's pretty tough to figure out if a coin is real or fake, but these guys know what's up. I can trust them to hook me up with some real deal collector's items. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're into coins and stuff.

Their collection is so impressive, and the coins are of a high quality. I find their customer service to be really helpful too. I had a little problem with one of my orders, and they sorted it out for me quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for authentic and rare coins. They won't disappoint you!

I got hooked on coins and precious metals for investing and wanted to switch it up. There are so many types of coins out there, some super rare and pricey. But you gotta be careful where you buy from, you know? I'd go with Professional Coin Galleries. They only carry the real deal.

I wanna tell you 'bout my experience with Professional Coin Galleries. I was lookin' for a special present for my wifey and found out they got some fab coins that are made outta gold, silver, and palladium. So I bought two of 'em, cuz they're authentic and super rare. When I gave 'em to her, she was so frickin' happy! She really loves 'em and now she's always talkin' 'bout how cool they are. Y'all should check'em out if you want some sweet coins!

They called me up out of nowhere trying to sell me these fancy coins at crazy high prices even though I'm on the do not call list from the federal government. The guy who called me even admitted that he checked the list but went ahead and called me anyways! They used a number that looks like it's local *** but it actually just goes straight to their office in New York City. Tricky little devils, they are! All these coin dealers from NY are total crooks and always changing their names to try to swindle unsuspecting people. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these clowns and any weird phone calls you might get from them.

I gotta say, these guys at professional coin galleries really aren't the nicest bunch. They bug you non-stop to buy from them and when I finally placed my first order, it took over a freakin' month to arrive - despite being told it'd be certified mail in 4 to 5 days. I gave them another shot and made a big purchase for a couple grand - but they didn't bother to send me any kinda invoice or tracking number. After 5 days I was pretty frustrated and didn't even wanna buy from them anymore. When they finally did get back to me, they hadn't even sent out my order and didn't have what I wanted. AND they already took my freakin' $7,500. It wasn't until a week later that they refunded me. I definitely won't be trusting these guys to handle my 401K. They promise a buy-back guarantee, but if this is how they treat their customers, I don't wanna experience it again. I've seen other bad reviews about them and let me tell you - they aren't wrong. Don't do business with these guys - it's bad news.

I got me some coins from Professional Coin Galleries, like a 2020 W palladium coin and 10 2020 silver eagles on Nov. 4, 2020. They told me them coins had a buy back guarantee, and the price was $12000. But now, the big boss ***, who put his name on the guarantee, ain't following through. He don't pick up when I call and don't answer my texts or emails much.

.13. I am very disappointed with the service of PCG. I believed in their written guarantee, but they proved to be unreliable. They took my money without delivering the coins and failed to credit my account even after several attempts. The owner had no reserves for buying back coins, which made me doubt the authenticity of the guarantee. Their response was unacceptable, and I suspect their business practices are unethical. The issue with the modified invoices further raised my suspicions. I do not recommend Professional Coin Galleries and caution potential buyers to avoid them at all costs.
