In 2005 my mother and I were deceived into purchasing a printing franchise. We were duped by Mr. James Galasso, a VP of Minuteman Press who just wanted to sell us a franchise for $45, 000. We were inadequately assisted in promoting the business and we ended up losing over $100, 000 due to its failure and after selling it for only $5, 000! Mr.Galasso did not help me market and gave me false advice on how to improve profits. The company gave me old equipment, terrible advertising, unreliable marketing reps or so called technicians, no assistance in hiring, and poor training. This franchise does not help their franchisees purchase business signs or any other material to operate a business. They were already investigated for business fraud by the Federal Trade Commission and in my mind, they are still corrupt. It is not fair that Mr.Galasso sold us a business not meant for us which cost my family to pay the bank back $135, 000! For a middle class family in this recession that is unfair and should be unacceptable in our society.

Zoo Printing has deplorable customer service. I can't help but to believe that they have no interest in providing any customer service that has value. Personal examples include: on hold for 50 minutes. being told "I'm not sure what happened last time, all I can tell you about is this job. "I will check into this and get a resolution, " Sure, 3 days later after calling and leaving voicemails every day.
I am more than willing to help a company "Iron out" some issues, but Zoo is either the most arrogant company or the most oblivious company. Although, one could conclude they just don't care! I have wasted hours and hours with these folks. I thought I was investing in a worthwhile business relationship, but I am sadly mistaken. The employees appears to be a generation of people who have no clue about how hard it is to establish and retain loyal customers.
Don't get me wrong, if you order on their website and NEVER need human interaction, you'll probably be fine. However, if you intend to do any reasonable volume of business and need real humans to help resolve issues, this is probably NOT the company to do business with!
Good luck Zoo... I'd rather pay a little more and get some service in a “Day & age” of "No service."

price gouging according to the sales clerk to scan drafting size paper the fee was 5.00 a square foot which would be 50.00 a sheet. The total cost would have been 500.00. The person did not charge me that but showed that was what the charges would have been had someone not been there to overide the price. when I got home I called the Indianapolis Kinko's at 82nd street and the fee would have been 10.00 for the first sheet and 5 for the remaining sheets total 45.00. I called Mr. Copy a competitor in Bloomington and the fee was 15.00 for set up and 3.00 for the other sheets total 45.00. when I called Kinko's customer service the lady said the fee difference was because it was Bloomington! 500.00 instead of 45.00! I will no longer use Kinko's for my business if they cannot have honest pricing!

Where was your shop located? How high did you get sales? Were there any other factors, like bad location, employee problems, etc? Thanks.

Similar experience. I lost $110, 000+ and thousands of hours of unpaid time. My son lost $70, 000+. Area VP lied repeatedly. Main office keeps increasing their take.
