My camera has been back to them and me three time now and my camera still doesn't work. First it was back to them twice for a lens error and the third time was be ause it would focus properly. The work is just so rotten at Precision Camera. I'm not sure how they're in business. I will add, the website quoted me a price but when it got to them it more than doubled my price. They told me they also found liquid damage in my camera and that's impossible unless they did it. What should have been $100 wound up being over $200. Each time they keep the camera for months and then it comes back not working again. Their staff seem to have attitude problems if you ask for a manager. Getting a refund has been impossible. What the hell am I supposed to do. I paid a fortune for this repair and I just keep sending it back and forth and they never get it right. I would call this the worst place to fix a camera.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Sent the camera in for warranty service, was told problem was not warrenty covered, asked for camera return. When it arrived (still worked when left my home) the rear LCD was cracked and the camera no longer worked. They refused to assist me after making several calls to customer 'service'.
They screwed me out of a near $200.00 on a Sony lens I sent to have fixed at their El Paso Texas place. SCAMMERS, my camera came back with the same problem and they did nothing. Don't trust these bozos! They screwed me good. My lens has exactly the same problem the moment I attached it to the camera body. To make things worse, they had it for 2 months! NEVER EVER AGAIN! They are cheaters!
I went through the Precision Camera drama too.
I reported them to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. They care so much about their rating there that they fix the problem fast and my repair was free.
I had read online that once you make an online complaint with the BBB of El Paso, they get the problem solved fast and they don't charge for the repair. That was what happened with mine.
I still wouldn't use 'me again. They stink for service.
I will add that my repair went upward of $200 because they found a bigger problem after they looked at mine. Since getting it back and only using it a handful of times my lens got stuck and has the lens error problem. They refused to help me saying that my warranty with them is up. I would go near this Prevision Camera for any repairs.
