PPVI, ppvehicleinspections.co.nz review: Charging for a cancelled pre purchase vehicle inspection

I called Keith to book a pre-purchase vehicle inspection on a Thursday for the following Sunday. I was required to pay over the phone in advance at the time of booking. I was not informed of the cancellation policy either verbally or in writing at the time of booking, nor was I provided with a receipt for payment. I no longer needed the inspection and cancelled via text with 24h notice. I had a reply text stating there would be a cancellation fee. I replied with 'that isn't fair as there were no cancellation terms conveyed verbally or by email' and I had given 24h notice. I was not informed of how much the cancellation fee was. It then took 8 business days to receive only a 50% refund for them doing nothing. I emailed again requesting a full refund and no communication has followed, hence this poor review.

I would not recommend using this business to anyone as their business practices are dodgy and unprofessional.

I have checked the companies register and unfortunately they are not registered under their trading name.
