Mr Poirier is unethical. Does not pay his subcontractors. Was to finish our remodeling in 8 weeks. We had to fire him at the end of 8 months. Work not done. Stole our money - said he was going to pay subcontractors. Instead he took his family to Disney World. Lies constantly. Never shows for work. Does not pay his workers. not trustworthy. Numerous other unsatisfied, ripped off customers.
Here is my rebuttal to the initial complaint... All subs are paid...some were delayed due to terms and conditions of their work...they got paid when the job was complete to our satisfaction...2) Job did not start on time, thier closing was delayed numerous times, add to this the house they bought had a number of issues missed by their inspector (for instance) they needed and we installed teh following(not in the contract), complete new wiring throughout, complete new plumbing throughout, complete FHA heating system, Removed all interior wall coverings throughout, installed new insulation throughout, sheetrocked entire project throughout...(mind you this was all above the contract...I have the docs to prove)...so the 8 week simple remodel was changed to some degree... 3-4 times the work...but I guess we were supposed to finish in the allotted time anyway... In short, was told the budget was short, asked to leave project...returned 3 days later to grab our stagging only to find someone else working. I don't deny all fault here, we had a rough winter with the weather and this house had some serious issues. We had about 9 days left to finish..If anyone would like to see before and after pictures, please feel free to comment. I'd be happy to supply them...
Now... in regards to the second commment from Richard Briganti...hmmm where do I start... Once again...I will not deny that I am of some fault here... in a nutshell(cause I could go on and on about this guy) finished his project a week before Thanksgiving(LAST YEAR), sent him the remaining bill for services...he agreed, I stated we should do a "walkthrough" on the following Tuesday...he agreed, but didnt show...got an email 2 days later stating he wanted to review over the weekend...so he did...the following Monday he sent another asking us not to come on site again(even though we were finished and the project is of above average quality..I have pictures and documents to back this up too) ...so we requested payment again...nothing...to date this gentleman( not sure he deserves the title)but...has an outstanding balance of $9, 244.00... This guy has spewed on a number of different sites to save his butt...I even mentioned to him I would have to lien the property to secure my finances...his response..."go ahead...I'll never refinance as I own the property outright. Once again...I have all documents and photos and will provide if anyone has questions
POIRIER IS A RIP OFF YOU PAY HIM AND NEVER SEE HIM WORK IS SUBSTANDED, WE ARE GOING TO SUE HIM. AND CONTACT THE MAINE ATT.GENERAL.
