I must mention that my experience with the plastic surgeon recommended by Placidway - www.placidway.com was terrible by all means.
The clinic looks absolutely terrible! Nothing like the gorgeous pictures you can see posted about this clinic at Placidway's web page. They do not even bother to check if what they are selling is real or not!
The doctor looked totally inexperienced. As soon as I saw him I decided to cancel my procedure, he could hardly speak 10 words in English! It was a lie!
Monica from placidway told me the doctor was English fluent. She lied to me.
After taking almost a 18 hour flight and traveling almost half a word away from NC to get my cosmetic surgery procedure I decided at last that I should take a chance and do it.
My surprise was terrible when I woke up from the anesthesia and I felt the lack of aftercare. I felt alone. Began to cry. Maybe was the anesthesia effect. But I really felt so alone! Placidway told me very clearly there was going to be always someone there to take care of me! I tried desperately to get in touch with Placidway, with Monica and I send her at least 30 e-mails. I was also in so much pain! And the response I had from Placidway was ZERO.
No response at all! Placidway was lovely at first when they were trying to sell me idea to go see this doctor! but after the first problem I encountered they played deaf!
Also must mention the extra 12% the doctor charged me so he could pay placidway! That is what he told me! That he had to pay commission to Placidway and he charged ME!
I tried to contact Placidway thousand of times so I can get a refund of the 12% I was overcharged and of course I never got an answer from them. I feel abused in many ways! This company lies about their services!

I am from USA who wanted to visit India for a dental surgery. I posted my requirement on craiglist and was contacted by many companies. One of the proposals was from www.ektakkalra.com . She basically runs a medical and article writing company. She confirms every bit of requirement after surveying the city. She rarely had a ready answer to my questions. I thought she might end me in trouble. But the experience was really good. I was shown to a good doctor and had good dental surgery done. However, she seems to have limited staff at the moment. But even then I liked her medical tourism company and her services. I would rate it as A if not A+ level.
Well, my experience was awesome. I had a tubal reversal in March 2014, in MexiCali. Joey and another lady can't remember her name, they both checked on me, multiple times. They called me while I was in Mexico, while I was on the way home, and when I arrived home like three times. Also, my hospital was great. The staff treated me and Mom wonderful, and yes at times we had language issues, but I pulled up my trustee online translator and we worked it out. Thanks Hospital De La Familia and PlacidWay
Please stay away from this company, I know of a small service run by a young man that makes videos of him speaking, normally for relatively small channels on YouTube; English YouTuber's as their 'intro', and voiceovers etc. He was contacted by PlacidWay asking if he could make a fake review video for them. I don't know if he made it or not.
Please stay away from this company, their advert was made on this site that makes free animation videos, (you enter your text and they turn it into a video). What reputable company would do that?
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
Placidway is using a Dentist in Costa Rica who severely botched my dentistry. The dentists name is Doctor Alberto Coto Calvo at High Tech Dental Clinic just outside of San Jose Costa Rica. This dentist broke my tooth causing 3 root canals to be preformed while in his care. He left me with 10 open Margins ( the crowns are popped off my teeth ) some of the crowns are now breaking apart. Most importantly he screwed up my bite so badly that I now suffer from severe TMJ, constant pain, can't eat or speak properly etc... I contacted Placidway about it and even offered them before and after x-ray's and a medical report from an American specialist confirming Doctor Cot's severe negligence and damage that he caused me. Placidway refused to post my review and they continue to use this dentist as part of their network. Placidway knowingly sends the public to off to be butchered. Don't use them ! i all, my name is Sonia, i live in Miami, , last year my mother and I went to south America - Bolivia- to undergo some procedures (my mother did a facelift, breast lift and tummy tuck;; and i did a breast augmentation and liposuction along with a fat grafting into buttock) we went through a medical organization (MakeoverTravel).
MakeoverTravel is advertised on Placidway's website but there isn't any medical relation between MakeoverTravel and Placidway. Most of doctors or hospitals advertised on Placidway.com don’t have any relation with them, I suppose they just pay to be promoted on placidway.com
My mother and I had a wonderful experience at MakeoverT. center, the price we paid for our surgeries was the price written on MakeoverTravel website.

I did big savings too. The price of my surgery in the US is around $20, 000!
We had a wonderful experience in Bolivia, the results of both are fantastic, My mother said the surgeon “I only wish I had done it years ago” I highly recommend Bolivia and MakeoverTravel for people interesting in having a plastic surgery overseas at affordable cost. :-)
Now this is pathetic to see. It seems that "Schneiders" and "janiels" are the same person and it seems this company is doin' some Self-Advertising?

Exceptional Dental Experience in Costa Rica
After hearing for years about people from CA going to Costa Rica for dental work, I finally decided to give it a try. After some research, I chose Dr. Delfin Barquero - based on his being a member of the ADA. I was still a bit aprehensive, but that quickly melted away after a few minutes in his dental chair.
I would highly recommend him and his associates. Before even leaving home, they answered most of my travel questions, worked around my schedule and me feel at ease with my decision. The appointment went well, insurance paperwork was completed appropriately, and I have not had any problems. I would recommend him and I also plan to use his services again.
After my appointment, I was feeling great and was able to play tourist for the remainder of my time in Costa Rica. I also recommend you do the same!

As a consumer who has exceptionaly high standards be it food, Vacations and even Medical tourism, i would always be wary of people "recommending" Clinics, Services by name as most of these so called personal experiences are just a blog or self advertisement. As we live in the 21st Century we have the World Wide Web and thankfully the choices are simply at the click of a button. People can see through these poor marketing campaigns and are not what people come expect. If you fall for these sham blogs i feel truly sorry for you.
In September 2008, I came from New York to have the Erbium laser for my face. I had some uneven skin tone and some acne scarring that I was very unhappy with. What a difference. My skin looks beautiful. I had some fine lines, but I was more concerned with the other issues.
When I noticed that the fine lines were less visible and some had disappeared, I was thrilled. Prior to my visit, being the skeptical New Yorker that I am, I checked into the various certifications that we have here in the US. I found that Dr. Cepeda had all the credentials that the top NY plastic surgeons. His attention to detail is excellent.
The staff was professional and very knowledgeable about the most up-to-date technology and techniques (believe me, I am that picky New Yorker I mentioned earlier). I cannot express how comfortable I felt with Dr. Cepeda and his staff. They made sure that I was able to go to my appointments by sending a car to pick me up from my hotel and to drop me off.
The personal attention that gave me meant a lot to me. They were genuinely caring and devoted professionals and I can't be thankful enough. They are truly gems. There is no question that I will be returning when I decide to have any other treatments or procedures. I plan on vacationing in Cancun in May 2010. Although I will not be having any work done at this time, I will be stopping by the clinic to see Robyn and Dr. Cepeda to say hello.
