I purchased a pug from piney mountain kennel in 2015. He died at 11 months of age of a congenital defect (After $10, 000+ in hospital bills). Because he was under 1 year, the kennel gave me another pug. She recently died at the age of 1 year, 3 months of severe seizures. I could not afford diagnostic evaluation at the time of death, but seizures are often the result of neurological disorders. Also, I think two dogs in a row from the same breeder who die at such a young age is cause for grave concern.

I’ve bought two pugs from Tania, a male in Jan 2020, and a female in June 2020. Both are very healthy vigorous dogs. Tania is a very loving and responsible dog breeder, although the issues you’ve experienced are heart breaking, I do not think they can be attributed to the breeder. She does an excellent job, responsibly breeding, and taking care of litters of puppies. I will hopefully be purchasing another beautiful pug from her in the near future.
