Our microwave would not shut off after closing door, WE contacted your company and the said we would get the replacement parts free and we asked for a recommendation to repair it and they gave us the name of ;Pegasus Appliance Repair located at 2101 Cedar Springs Rd. Dallas Tx 75201. They came out Feb. 14 and said they had to order the part. However, we had to pay $229.98 in advance, which we did. A month has gone buy and my wife called and she was told we had to wait until the end of April. We asked for our refund at was told we had to pay diagnostic fee of $75 which they took from our deposit. I Suggest you pick your repair service companies more wisely. At the same time our Frigidaire, icemaker wouldn't work. We called another company and the replaced the ice maker AND put a replacement door switch in our MICRWAVE! After all this AS usual the ice machine was one month out of warranty. After all this, you can at least refund my $75 I lost to your recommended repairmen .

Your microwave would not shut off after closing the door? Microwaves are intended to only work while the door is shut, so it should be turning off when the door is opened. I fail to see your problem. You HAD to pay $229.98 in advance to an appliance repair business? Microwaves are typically only $30 - $100. I'd say you would have been better off purchasing a new microwave if you felt yours was defective. Seems like you like throwing money away then complaining about it.

Unfortunately most service centers do not offer their services free. You were likely charged because they had performed the diagnostics workout being able to complete the requested service.
In order to keep prices more aggressive, the industry accepts a standard one year limited coverage. For those customers who prefer longer coverage, manufacturers and retailers offer extended warranty coverage.
