On September 9 I paid for a 'free CD' from Paul as well as a 14 day free trial of what he calls by several names, including Effortless Manifesting Club, Effortless Manifesting Course, and Manifesting Success Club. I never received either the CD. Nor did I receive the download links for the 'free 14 day trial' until 42 days had passed and I had written an email canceling my membership and asking for a full refund and a total of $61.95 had been removed from my bank account... and according to one email from them, the membership had been canceled.

After a brief series of email exchanges where I was told "The CD's in the mail", "The Post Office is responsible for losing it", and "No refund is due", my subsequent 3 emails were never replied to... complete silence!

Not one to be silent, here's what I've done... so far!

1. I have posted the complete details of exactly how I was ripped off by Paul Bauer at http://paulbauerdreamsalivescam.blogspot.com/... including links to others who have similarly been scammed. I invite anyone who has had similar experiences to stop by and take a look at the exchange of emails between me and Paul, arrive at their own conclusions, and make any comments.

2. Contacted the fraud department of my bank and filed a complaint. They told me that the subscription HADN'T been canceled but they were taking care of it at their end. They are also crediting my account with $54 pending an investigation. It would have been for the full amount if I had been 3 days sooner... my error! I urge anyone who has been scammed by Paul within the last 60 days to contact their bank or credit card company and take similar action. If enough people speak up, maybe he'll lose his merchant account.

3. Posting to as many "I've been scammed" and ripoff and fraud websites as I can find to warn others who are THINKING of buying one of Paul's courses or products of the experience of myself and others... as well as to join in solidarity behind those who have already been ripped off without receiving what they paid for.

Hello - this is Cathy - Manager of Customer Service for Dreams Alive.

We have contacted this individual and explained that she did access the trial she asked for. After she ordered, she was given access to the Manifesting Secrets Club and our system tracked her login details. She assumed that she also had access to the Effortless Manifesting course, which she did not order.

We offered her assistance with logging into the club, and she never responded. She has not responded to any of our e-mails. Occasionally, some people cannot be satisfied - no matter what help one offers.

We honor all requests for refunds that are within our normal guarantee period for our programs.

All the very best,

Cathy - Manager of Customer Service

Well, someone is certainly not being truthful.

The original "victim" has listed a detailed explanation of what happened at: http://paulbauerdreamsalivescam.blogspot.com/

She has gone out of her way to create a special blogsite and post numerous times about being scammed. That seems like someone justifiably angry over being taken advantage of and not someone angry because the latest manifestation course didn't work out for them. And her bank apparently found fraud and issued a disputed credit back from the merchant.

Against that, we have a cursory denial from a Customer Service Manager which, if offered in defense, would certainly seem to have thwarted a bank's finding of no performance and/or fraud. Hmmmmm.
