When Patrick Murphy plumbing showed up, I was surprised at how young the contractor was and stated so, he seemed upset the head guy Alex was 25.

Prior to contacting AHS, I read directions on side of my heater and it stated I had to remove a panel to see if pilot was lit. I got a screw driver and a light and my drill with a bit to take out screws and set out to re read directions with those near me, upon using my flashlight I saw the panel that lifts out on the bottom (not needing any type of screw driver) and set that aside. I completed directions which instructed me to contact a tech. I called AHS.

Patrick Murphy plumbing accused me of tampering with the heater, they did no diagnostic to heater and then left the house I followed them out bc they did not speak to me prior to leaving the house (after showing up late w/out calling), they got upset with me and stated they had every right to make private calls, then the owner Patrick called me and advised he would call police bc of this, then he said he would do anything he could to make sure I was not going to get service from AHS and that he had access to all old records of the house and of previous service. Then he accused me of being a bad owner and that he had dealt with me before when his company put in a water heater per AHS 2 years prior. I advised him I was not even in the state at that time and the house was rented, so to me his crew was just as bad as my tenant. He hung up on me and I called back — he stated I was harassing him and again he would call police.

Bottom line is, he advised AHS that water heater was rusted out on the bottom: there is no rust. He advised about the four mentioned tools and indicated previous damages. Did not happen, if you know water heaters it would have to be a wrench or other types of tools to do damage, and WHY would I want to damage a water heater that is barely two years old.

I then spent two hours the next day trying to request a second opinion, as Patrick Murphy and his crew just wanted a replacement instead of fixing the problem.

AHS refused a second opinion based on Patrick Murphy opinion that is the worst customer service I have ever received in my life.

No one should ever have to deal with a contractor like Patrick Murphy plumbing.

Desired outcome: Water heater fixed with customer service
