So on Feb. 5 2022 I moved out of my rented room at padsplit; this had been my first stay at with padsplit. Basically you request a room through the website and initially you have to stay for a set period of time before you can leave without a penalty. After the time you can become week to week or whatever suits you. So for me I decided to be week to week and Monday-Sunday was my was how I paid; paying a week advance. Fast-forward to Monday Feb 7 when went on the app to start my move-out. I’ve never been through this process before so on the app you cant request same day move out so I chose the next available day which was Tuesday (Feb. 8). Monday emailed 2 pictures of the room as requested; I immediately asked about the balance on my account for the current week. And after calling and emailing back and forward with padsplit representatives I was basically told I had to pay for a whole week I wasn’t there.

Desired outcome: Pay for Monday February 7 because I found that day there is no same day move-out or a credit for the week I would have to pay but a refund for the late fee charged to my account on Monday…

I was totally bagged in and by PadSplit in Las Vegas, NV - this one aggressive PadSplit female resident (the first person in to a newly-converted house) who had bragged about shorting the last person she was a roommate with so that the police had to be there when she got her belongings out of the house to make the person on the lease she owed money to give up her possessions, she starts getting domineering and aggressively questioning me when I come home, etc. - just a real ugly person - first she makes up a story about me "saying something about losing my key" that "made her uncomfortable to live with me" and got one of my keys removed, and then, after they were partying on MLK day until well after 11 pm the day before, she comes into the kitchen the next night when I am quietly fixing my supper, and even though its only 9:40 pm, informs me that "We're trying to get some sleep." and before I can say anything she goes back in her room. Then, about 11:15 pm when I'm turning out the light to go to sleep, the POLICE show up because she called them with a whole PACK of lies about me SCREAMING! I talked to them and told them none of that was true, and the next day, PadSplit terminates my membership, (unbeknownst to me) and the house manager "Carlos" and the supposed property owner show up at noon the next day and this Carlos - a real low-life thug-type - aggressively evicts me - says I have to leave right then - with 4 days left on the week I had paid forward - the first time when I lost one of my membership "keys" I had talked to the owner on the phone and told him I would be very quiet - which I was - and this horrible woman "Sharon?" just lied and set me up to get me terminated and evicted - she's just real bad baggage, and the house manager Carlos is not one bit better - and he manages other PadSplit houses in Las Vegas, so if you come to Vegas and look at a PadSplit managed by "Carlos P" LOOK OUT - for all I know he may "manage" them all - a real GOON.

So now I'm trying to get a refund for (4) days (PS is "checking to see if I'm elegible") and they said it takes "a week" to get your money back, and because it's not a "rental" but a "membership" (to get around local short-term rental laws), they're not required to give you any notice whatsoever - they can just put you and your belongings out at the curb and they know it and act accordingly - so be very careful who your PadSplit manager is - "Carlos" finally claimed to be "One of the Owners" when throwing his considerable weight around - uggh. IMO, PadSplit needs a competitor, and all of these guys need some regulations that protect renters (tenants? members?) who are a seeerious risk of being exploited by the Carloses of the Las Vegas - as well as of the rest of the PadSplit locations in the U.S. - Carlos gives the entire PadSplit location a black eye, IMO.

PadSplit or some other organization converted the home on Coolgreen to seven (7) individual bedrooms. It and our home are the only ones on this dead end street Wild Plum. After being part of our retirement community for over 50 years, this is quite the opposite. Garage was closed in and parking is on the sidewalk and the short street. So we live with a new environment and we have adjusted. But, the yard has now been mowed in over 6 weeks and when it was the curbs were not weed eated and when the sidewalk was the debris was blown into the street. Weeds are never mown and they are creeping up the sides of the house. Now, all our home owner lawns are well managed and this neglect brings a blight to our neighborhood. Since the government is paying for the mowing service that is not happening, we have another ripoff on our government that shouldn't be happening. I will be contacting our government reps for some help.
