We purchased a six month old collie from this breeder. He seemed nervous but the breeder told us it is because he was in an unfamiliar place. She would not allow us to come to her kennel claiming her children had the flu and didn't want to expose us. She met us half way and had promised me she would have a documented record of the shots the dog had prior to us looking at him. When we arrived she did not have any records other then a piece of plastic the shot was supposedly came in. She had no records of any worming either. In hindsight I should have walked away. We took the dog home after paying her 500.00 and he seemed to get along with everyone in the house. However, yesterday without any provocation or any warning he bit my elderly father and drew blood. My dad bandaged up his leg and then when he came out the dog once again lunged at my dad and tried to bite him again. My brother had to restrain the dog while my dad put the fence up in the kitchen so the dog couldn't get to him. I called the breeder and she claimed she was "shocked" and said she had to think of what we could do. She then texts me a short while later saying we could bring back the dog but insisted I bring it all the way back to Joplin Missouri which was a 3 hour drive for me one way. I have an autistic toddler so long drives are very difficult for us. I asked her if I could get my money back as we had had the dog less than 48 hours but she refused to reply to those texts messages and only replied to locations and times to meet. Well I couldn't keep a dog in the house that was willing to bite without any warning or cause so I took him back. We met her at a restaurant parking lot and she was very rude to us and acted like we were lying about the incident. I asked about getting at least some of my money back and she said no, I told her how hard it was for us to come up with that money as I am a single parent but I was trying to get a dog to help my son. She then said well I will resale him and mail you a check which I know isn't true, because then she texted me later saying the dog was underweight which he had not lost weight in the two days we had him and was on better food than what she was feeding him. I say to stay away from this person, the contract is vague and completely on her side. She refused to let me take him to the vet to have him checked out. I am pretty sure he was going to have eye issues, she told me it was because she got "soap" in his eye, but I've never seen dog shampoo cause that reaction. Beware of dealing with this person, avoid and find a reputable breeder. Avoid Trisha Wendt owner of Ozark View Collies unless you have money to set on fire

When I wrote this review I was very upset over what was a now apparent miscommunication and misunderstanding. The breeder had good intentions but at the time I did not realize this was the case. Please disregard above post/ review that I have left on this site. She has beautiful dogs and if you are looking for a collie you should consider getting one from her. She is an AKC breeder and she is in good standing with the AKC association.
