I purchased an outline from this company for $10 and it turned out that the outline was not based on a certain textbook as they had advertised. This misrepresentation was critical as I was purchasing the outline solely for the fact it was based on a text book I am using, and the outline is therefore useless to me. I have been sending outline depot emails for the last month, and they simply will not reply to my requests for correspondence. The company took my money, threw a bogus outline my way, and now they stick their heads in the sand when I address them on the matter. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH OUTLINE DEPOT (period)
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have downloaded at least seven outlines from them over the last two years and I have no complaints. Excellent resource in my opinion.
I have attempted to contact them multiple times over the course of 6-8 months because I downloaded an outline from them that appeared to be good based on the first page, but then the rest of the outline was just the names of the cases with no actual info.. It seems the person did enough work on the first page to make it seem legit and then just copied and pasted the syllabus on the rest of the document. They haven't responded to me and any claims that its because they're busy is bogus since it has been such a long period of time. I find it really insulting that they would come on here and try to defend themselves because this is public, but show no loyalty or respect to their clients. Outline Depot will only respond to paypal disputes, they will not respond to emails. This is the funny thing about the company, when you have a genuine service issue, and they sell you a crap of an outline, they will not email you or bother replying. Perfect example of a company run well is SCRIBD, they let you preview you the whole document, I lost 60.00 with this company because they sold me bogus outdated outlines. No replies to any of my emails. There is no excuse not to have page numbers, date submitted, but this company banks on bogus scam buys, thats how they stay profitable.
Your outline may be "great" in your opinion, but please understand that we receive numerous outline submissions every hour. We do our best to review each outline and compare them to similar outlines already in our database. This takes time. If we were to respond to inquiries such as yours we would have even less time to review outlines. If you feel that our service is of no use to you, feel free to search for an outline elsewhere. You will quickly find that NO ONE ELSE is offering a service even close to ours. We do our best, but you must realize that this is a very busy time of year for us. If there is an outline you want to get and are unable to wait for your upload to be approved, nothing is stopping you from purchasing a credit. If your upload is approved, your credit will still be applied to your account. If your outline is not approved, you will receive an email telling you why.
Um agree. NO ONE SHOULD DO BUSINESS WITH THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY! I uploaded a great outline and was hoping to be able to download an outline in exchange for it. Well, it's been two weeks and not only is my outline still awaiting approval, the company has not responded to my email inquiring about. Total scam, do not give these people your business!
I find this very, very hard to believe. If you honestly downloaded an outline that you feel was not a true representation of our description, we would have gladly given you a free credit. If your email to us was inflammatory, rude, and mean spirited, then yes, we may have ignored it. We don't guarantee that every outline is gold, but we do our best to vet them out and make sure they are formatted well and that the professor is affiliated with the declared school, etc., etc.
I have also had problems with outlinedepot. I recently uploaded about 10 or so outlines to earn credit. Its been 3 weeks and they are still awaiting review. I sent several emails with no response. The site should be shut down or bought out from the negligent people who run it.
