My issue is that NTB charged me $160 for a service they do not want to provide. Bought 4 Yokohama tires in January 2011 during a BOGO Sale. As part of sale the price included roadside assistance and road hazard warranty. 9/10/11 I had a blow –out approximately 1 mile from NTB and after reviewing my warranty there was not a contact number listed for the roadside service. So, I call the store and speak with Rodney, the manager. After calmly explaining my situation Rodney told me to get the phone number off my paperwork. It became obvious that Rodney had no interest in assisting me, and when I rephrased my request for the 800# I was told, “It’s not my problem.” When I expressed my frustration with his unwillingness to assist me with locating a simple phone number I was told, “Don’t do me like that.” I called State Farm and had a tow truck on scene in less than 20 minutes. I paid $75 for the tire to be changed roadside and went to NTB to have the tire replaced the following day. I presented my paperwork and asked for the Roadside Assistance contact information, he had to call someone else named Chad to get the information. He admitted that he didn’t know anything about roadside assistance. I finally have the number; I suggested that they might want to post that number somewhere handy for future reference. Now they want $50 for the roadside service/hazard plan on the new tire. It’s not worth the hassle to pay $ 125 for a tire when I should have gotten free roadside assistance (well, after paying $160 for it.) They lost a loyal 20 year customer yesterday.
