Norton Landscaping review: My back yard and their lousy work and overcharging for services

Adan Norton owns the company. We hired him last year to do our back yard.

First impression was wonderful but as soon as we gave him half the money up front all went to hell. His crew doesn't speak English and he hardly ever showed up to our home. If I had a $100 bill for every time he and his workers promised to come work at our home with no show every time I would be in good shape financially.

The cement work was so bad that we made him take it out and try and redo it. Then all of a sudden getting cement was an issue. As a result we paid $2000.00 more for paving stones. We love playing in the puddles when it rains as a result of all the uneven work, He charged us extra to put more where our garbage cans were. He used all the scraps and hardly used any filler to keep them together. Keep in mind he had already charged us for the extra work and recharged saying that wasn't included.

We sent him a picture of the gate we wanted two months before they finally did the job. He quoted $1500.00 for it. It was clearly stated six feet high total privacy. After all kinds of grief he finally installed a gate four feet high with no real insert. We complained and he took it away and a week later brought it back with an insert. We paid him just to get rid of the obligation of dealing with him. When I called a real company to install the gate we wanted they informed us the insert in the one Adam put in was PLASTIC. The gate we got from the new company is perfect and they charged $1000.00.
