I acquired a puppy from Olga at Neyman Cavaliers in October 2025, he had tiny a lump on his neck by his lymph node that got bigger within a week, we took him to the vet and got him antibiotics and were told he appeared bilaterally Cryptorchid, had odd scars on his lower abdomen to give him to 6 months, if neither testicle descend then I needed to notify the breeder as he will never be able to breed, he runs a 13x greater chance with cancer, and a much higher risk of behavioral issues. I contacted the breeder immediately, she claimed mom must've scratched him when he was small, as a breeder myself I know scars that show up that well mean a serious scratch or two, I've NEVER had this with ANY litter! I also told her he was Cryptorchid, that we wanted to send the $500 for breeding rights, but he is sterile, something she should've made us aware of right away, so we could go elsewhere as it took years to save up for a healthy male. Olga told me to keep her posted on what we wanted to do, a month later I let her know that the vet has officially diagnosed him as Cryptorchid, she immediately said, "My parents don't take back puppies after a certain time!" I didn't want to take him back, I said she can keep the $1000 but I will need the $2000 back so I can find a healthy male who isn't defective. She stated her dad will ONLY pay $250 towards the more expensive neuter, nothing more. As a breeder I notice things like undescended testicles by 6 weeks! They never took this litter to the vet, and apparently don't check for hernias, closed fontanels, or testicles, etc. they give shots at home, no dewormer, and don't notice defects as a quality breeder with AKC should absolutely notice and make ALL adopters aware of any issues! Our hearts are shattered, I'm disabled and my husband is a retired officer injured in the line of duty. Please help us? We want back $2000 + $250 towards the $600 neuter.

Country of complaint: United States

Claimed loss: $3655 total loss out of our pockets. We only want $2250 returned to us so we may find our healthy un-defective male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that if we want to breed him we can because he will be healthy.

Desired outcome: $2250 so we can get a healthy male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel without any defects. We will return him for the full $3000. We want this breeder to learn how to check their puppies.
