I have not been on this website since 2013. I don't know why I rechecked it today. It absolutely shocks me that this women, Marian Gooding, is still allowed to breed Devon Rex cats. She continues to profit and is breeding cats who are not healthy. I don't know what Vet in their right might would certify that these kittens are healthy.
We lost one at 10 months old and her sister when she was 2 years old. Both had ringworm and yeast when we got them. The both died of FIP.
Marian acts like a reputable breeder and is so affronted when you get back in touch with her to tell her that cats are ill. She continues to breed these poor innocent little beings who really don't have a good chance. I have read some of the most recent complaints on this site and can not believe how many more people have experience this awful loss due to her.
After our 10 month old kitten died, I wrote a complaint. I called the Humane Society and the ASPCA. One of the agencies went out to check on the situation, but could site her. The cats had food, water and a place to relieve themselves. So that constituted as a check and things were ok.
I am so frustrated that she can't be shut down. I don't know what it is going to take. I still get tears in my eyes thinking of these poor little kittens and the pain and suffering they go through.
What can we do?
This is definitely unethical.
Country of complaint: United States
Desired outcome: Shut this woman down as a breeder.
