National Publishers Exchange Avoid this rip off at all costs

This is how it all began, I received a phone call asking me if i wanted to save on gas and of course i said who wouldn’t. So this lady went on saying if i join this club (Autodisc and traveldisc) club i would save hundreds on gas. So i decided i would check it out. Well when i got the packet it only let you use 10 cents thats right only 10cents at a time WOW what a savings.

So i cancelled them that day, Well low and be hold they didn’t tell you about giving your name to all the magazine companies. I started getting all these magazines i had no use for, So i called them each time i got one, the magazine company directly to cancel. most would on the spot. but i came across some that i couldn’t cancel unless i went thru the company the order came from.

So meanwhile on my bank statements came with these withdrawals for $29.85 each from these magazine companies. each time i would find one i would cancel, the phone number comes on the statement too. well it got to the point where i would cancel one and next time i would have more to replace it. so i finally had to cancel my credit card. so now i get the hounding phone calls, they threaten me that i owe 8, 000 thousand dollars thats right you saw it 8, 000, so i told them to send me the proof and i got nothing stating that. i dont dare answer my phone any more cause they are rude and nasty people and all i get is a runaround and they have even hung up on me when i asked to speak to a manager., But because of this i have missed calls from my son in afghanistan. because it shows different numbers each time and so does theres and they even have used a cell phone number too. nice ha just to harass me.

I really hate the calls that said what ever you do do not order any magazines from other companies cause we take care of what you want, and of course i would say each time i dont want any bodies magazines. So please stop calling. since i stopped answering the phone they just call and hang up without leaving a message. The name of this magazine company is National publishers exchange…..

So please people if it sounds to good to be true it is and what ever you do never agree to anything over the phone cause they say things so fast you dont hear it all and thats how they suck you in! I must say if i owed that much wouldn’t you think they would send a bill, but thats the only one way they haven’t harassed me.

National Publishers Exchange Elderly scam

My Mother was 86 years of age and passed away the day after Christmas 2010. She had been very ill for several months receiving care from myself and Hospice. She started receiving numerous magazines such as Forbes, Elle, Guns and Ammo, etc. I spent 2 months prior to her death attempting to cancel these unsuccessfully. Each time I called a phone number I was told to contact someone else at a different number and while they may have cancelled one magazine they then started sending a different one like Shape & Fast Company just to name a couple. My Mother would never had been interested in these magazines while she was living let alone in the afterlife. Since her death I have spent the last 3 months still trying to get these no good rip-off artists to stop sending us magazines that they charged us for and that she clearly will never read in Heaven. Thank you for the opportunity to make others aware of such unscruptulous behavior.

I have the same problem some company called from Arizona [protected] saying that his subscription has been renewed and he never requested and he had cancelled it. When I asked about this they hung up the phone. I also called Baseball digest and they told me they cant cancel third party subsriptions when the third party places an order. WTF how you cant cancel a subscription to your own magazine...

I'vehad the same problem. First I was sent issues of Latino Magazine and now Parenting. Called the magazines who then referred me to another number and when I called there I was referred to another number where I just got a message saying noone was available. I'm 73 and did not order these. Is there anyway this so-called company can be investigated?

I have a similar situation. My father was in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease and we had not recognized his incapacity. This is 2011 and he has paid for subscriptions through this service for many years to come, the longest being through 2022. I have just gotten off of the phone with customer service and they are RUDE and unwilling to be of service. I initially noticed the charges to his Discover card last spring, when I took over his finances, and thought that I had the problem rectified. He has not been charged any further, but is "on the hook" for 15 magazines that I know about! The magazine companies tell me that they can cancel his subscription, but cannot issue a refund. WHAT A SCAM! How is this legal?

National Publishers Exchange HORRIBLE JOB DO NOT WORK FOR THIS CO.

The owner of this company is Steve Wiley! This man is the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I have yet to meet in Atl.
Not only did this man hire me to work for his company he refused to pay me once I decided not to work for him. Now he is constantly harassing me on my cell phone with text messaging insults. As a business I find this appalling from an owner who should be scamming people for magazine subscriptions for $1600 for 60 months of Jet! Do not work for this company and do not buy anything from this company! This office is this size of my living room and only have 5 telemarketers whom Steve claims he pays cash to weekly which I knew was a red flag when he said it! If u don't wanna work and not get paid or pay $1600 for magazines I suggest u LEAVE STEVE and NATIONAL PUBLISHERS EXCHANGE where they are in a tiny office in Atlanta. SCAMMING EVERYONE!

This job is a freaking joke!...I worked there for a week and then I moved home to Florida I left Steve a message to forward my check...he didn't do it so I had to call the department of labor!..he told the rep. That I would have it in 3 to 5 business days and it ended up taking another two weeks to come and when I took it to the bank today 4/26/16 there was no money in his account!..I called Steve and he told me that he was waiting for a deposit and to cash it tomorrow!..really?!...isn't this suppose to be a business?...I will see what's going to happen tomorrow...I'm so over this fake company!

My elderly mother was scammed by this company too. I called to cancel as they took over $69.00 from her account. I realize they could not have done this w/out her giving them her bank card number. The man who returned my call which really surprised me was rude! When I asked to cancel he asked "Why did you sign up with us in the first place?" I asked his name & he replied Steven Wiley. When I asked again, he claimed his name was Michael Morgan! What a strange operation and yes I do believe they are targeting the elderly.

Someone called my 90 year old father on the phone, promising him he was one of three people left to win millions of dollars. They subscribed him to five magazines he will never read. He cannot see. I am trying to help by unsubscribing to all of the magazines but am not having much luck. I would like to report this unscrupulous human being but have no...
