I am really facing lots of issues with IBSN, after I paid fees no one response, No support for any Audit,
Today I got a letter from IRS on Audit and I am not able to reach IBSN by Email or Phone, its looks like no one available for any kinds of help. I paid good amount as fees for so many things and now when I require help from IBSN people on tax Audit, no one responding me. All the contact number given on the web site is wrong. I am not only the person who is getting these kinds of response from IBSN there are plenty of people who is compiling about this. Before we gave money to them they used to call immediately after I email them BUT after I Paid fees no one replying me. I really don't know what to do now on the IRS audit
--All Phone number updated on the site is wrong
--No one response after you pay the fees
--No one support when you got Audit letter
--Complete Fraud
--I paid for so many services but none was taken care
--After facing issues with this company I will not believe in any Indian company for tax file

Could you please let me know what you are going to do with, audit notices, As I heard from so many peoples (I can give you more than 50 name) you guys just waste time, do not take any action and once audit closer date come near then I only have to go to IRS and take any action.
--First of all WHY your (IBSN) person not responding my email/phones? I was trying to reach them from last 2 months.
--Why are you responding in complain board?
--You are giving me concern person email on 22nd JAN 2012 and my audit closer date is 24th JAN 2012, What you will do in a day.
--When you are not capable to give any service why you are making fool to others
--Can any one from your department talk to me on this.
--Normally Tax filling amount is $30 to $70 and you guys charged up to $400 and this is how service you provide.
--Don't know what else to say...

Tell me once things when my Tax filling category was not comes under itemize deduction, then why IBSN files under that.
Now IRS people asking me all the documents from my employer and I told them my employer not have a policy to pay the followings
-My home Rent charges
-Utility Bills
-Phone Bills
-Car Expenses etc.
Now from where I get these documents to IRS, According to IRS my file return should pay under Standard Deduction category,
They did recalculation and charging me just double amount as I paid them from IBSN. they charged Last year amount + 20% Penalty + 2 years compound interest etc. and I paid them because I did not get any response from IBSN on time, no choice for me.
Now Still you want me to send my IRS letter to you I will e-mail in all email address given by you. Let me know if you can justify IRS people and pay my money which I paid to IRS, because according to IBSN agreement if next 3 years any query will be taken care.

IBSN is the fraudest company ever.. please someone slap their owner Ravi if you ever go their Hyderabad location.
I am another unfortunate victim of IBSN. I had paid $500 for my tax planning which IBSN had promised that the IRS owed me . received no response. This is the worst organization I have seen. I wonder how they are still operating in the US inspite of only complaints against them. The irony is that this tax preparer was recommeded by our company Satyam Computer services Ltd during the time of Ramalinga Raju. I guess both Andhra fraud guys(Laxmi and Raju) are doing a joint collaborative fraud . Laxmi should also be jailed . He should be sent to Guantanamo Bay and a rod inserted in his ### . He should die in hell.
IBSN = FRAUD and FRAUD = IBSN...

i would have made 100's of calls to them. I ended up paying twice the amount and they wouldn't refund.
every time I make a call, someone would pick up and don't know whats going on.. Horrible pathetic, miserable.

I think these guys just suck at Customer Service and especially the TRU cell. They have make a mockery of my situation. Evene after providing all requisite documents more than 15 days in advance they made me stay awake till 4 AM on the last date of filing the IRS response. That happened more than 15 days now and still I have not received a FAX confirmation on the same. 2 days back I got a second reminder from IRS (seems they have not received any data from IBSN folks). Now I have sent the second round of data and after 20 times of calling these guys no one even bothers to respond. WHAT IS THE PROCESS TO REGISTER THE COMPLAIN WITH IRS ABOUT IBSN?
Worst customer service by ibsn. They never respond to emails, messages and phone calls. After making end less calls, some one will pick up, then transfer to another number, which won't answered. Frustrated with their service after calling multiple times.
I don't want to file taxes with them and want to cancel.I made payment of $400 twice for the tax filing and now not getting it back. Paypal dispute also doesn't help. Can i dispute from my credit card? Does it help?
Is any one able to get back the money from them.?
Even I faced the same situation... IBSN is total fraud BIG BIG FRAUD company. I filed with IRS several years now. I received first AUDIT LETTER FROM IRS on January... after trying several times some one picked up and ask me to send the copy to tru@ibsnus.com... Submission date was 02/02/2012 and meanwhile no one responded neither e-mail nor phone. On 02/01/2011 (first dead line) some one picked asking me to extend which I did and again same result. On FEB 25 2012 I received email from Ramesh Krishnan and asking me to pay $310 for representation again I trusted (I'm stupid) they did not fax the document immediately and IRS sent me 2nd letter again I scanned a copy and sent to them again same results... Some one by Ravi Shankar contacted and told me to not to worry and he will take care but when IRS sent me final notice with respect of Representation Letter sent by IBSN is not at all matching what IRS asked. Now no one is responding with email or phone (including Laxmi Paliyapu and Geetha Darbha).
Guys here is the interesting thing all these emails i was forwarding to all these people but these people were waste waste ... Please dont waste your time with IBSN... IBSN is BIG BIG FRAUD COMPANY... I suffered 3 months for 24x7 calls to them no use.
Today I am paying full amount with penalties... approx $10k ...
I too have faced similar issue, after mailing the audit details and providing the information there is no response and no one answers to phone...TOTAL FRAUD please avoid it and don't waste your time and money.
I too go the IRS audit Mail Letter yesterday. They are telling me to send every document, if i try IBSN phone lines, it directly goes to voice message.
Yes this is a fraud company. I am checking legal options against this company. Folks please dont file returns with this company. Laxmi and all are here to blabber, no action taken after taking the amount.
I Agree with other folks on this post. IBSN is fraud. I too received the notice from IRS. I emailed the same notifying IBSN about the notice. Inturn they asked me to sign POA and fax it to IBSN also they mentioned clearly that there will be additional chrges I have to pay so that they can represent teh case with IRS. Also they clearly mentioned that they tax is Tx payers responsibility and IBSN will not pay extra tax asked by the IRS. They will only share the Penalty and Interest.
Nothing of this sort was communicated while asking for payment during Tax Planning from IBSN. At that time communication was given that in case of notice IBSN will take care of every aspect and taz payer will not have pay any extra money from their pocket. Also they charged extra $50 for this service. Now when the issue has surfaced and IRS is sending notices to individuals IBSN is backing off and not sticking to their words. This is completely un professional behaviour from IBSN.
i got 2 mails from IRS today asking for tax details and i have no clue what to do. IBSN did my filing, and I can not reach them !

Your reason for not responding to the emails or lack of resources from your side and you STILL have to plan for this? We all know how IBSN folks will voluntarily call to set up the interviews when doing taxes. I am just not buying the fact that you have listed several numbers on your website and not even a single works, and you are completely unaware of this? My problem is that I am not able to download my 2010 tax return from your website and I have no status update on my state return filed for 2010.
Is IBSN continuing its business for 2011 tax preparation as well?
Like the other folks, I would love to hear back from IBSN to resolve their customer's problem.

There are statutory procedures... and timelines and we definitely address the response as per the case merit...
This year IRS has increased its machinery 10 times and it is not 50 notices... the department is in revenue drive and so far collected 55 billion from US Taxpayers and IBSN is no singled out agency in this if you can please understand... The population is such that 50% of the taxpayers pay the notice just by seeing it and without any representation.
It is unfortunate that your email is not responded but we have set up an exclusive department to handle it.. and we are indeed handling cases length and breadth of the country almost from all regional centers. Proudly I can tell, the machinery that we have at IBSN no other expat servicing agency possesses - Whether we win or loose on the case - we definitely are helping the taxpayer have clean tax record, explaining with case facts and judments why we merited in claiming for certain deductibles on the tax return.
We can certainly take additional time on the tax return - we definitely do not provide a $30 to $70 filing service... as we are not a preparation agency but a planning agency - We charge for planning.
case documentation and case preparation is not as simple as throwing a piece of letter to the department - you have explain with substance and merit, bringing up several regulations and rulings and in certain cases past court judgments - again as I said, we work in representation not with a mere focus to win the amount of claim but with an intention to put the tax file as a clean record with the department. Unfortunately, the problem is failure to appreciate the merit of another professional responsibility. If I come and talk why one software engineer is unable to develop or build a logic the istance client asks it...you would not have an answer...similarly in our industry, each case and each taxpayer condition will be a peculiar condition... Within IRS, each revenue center and revenue officer may have his interpretation as each CpA has his interpretation.. Finally it is the tax court that determines a hard core tax issue but for the size of taxpayer with 1800 to 3000 planning difference, it becomes expensive and our door of opportunities get restricted... But under all situations we work in the interest of the taxpayer - A client should develop this confidence in the taxpractitioner. You cannot assume that we are fraud and our motto was to wrong claim and gain enrichment... We burn our energy on each taxpayer case...Irrespective of our effort, manytimes, taxpayer misses the bucket employers are adamant in not releasing reimbursement policy statement etc.. I request you to fax the notice to my email ID or that of Jollin.Britto@ibsnus.com / Ravishankar.Vishnubhotla@ibsnus.com or TRU@ibsnus.com ...We will send the power of attorney form... which you should email back signed. If you fax a letter to the deparment seeking 30 days additional time, they usually grant... Taking time, putting responses within the statutory procedurual time is all within the legal ambit and I request our professional indepence be offered in representing the case matter.

I had a similar problem, really it is a kind of fraud, I paid $400 for tax preparation and now I have recieved audit letter from IRS, I don't know what to do, I paid all the amount mentioned in the IRS audit.
