Buyer beware! I would never buy anything from this store/owner (Steve yeds) again.
I found this store online, and called for the price on an all american made waterbed, specified as such on the invoice. The owner insisted that i pay with paypal, and i found out later why. What i got was an all chinese made waterbed that smelled so bad we had to put it in the garage (Found out that terrible smell was toxic mold). Despite the clear fraud, which owner admitted to because invoice was clear, owner insisted that i pay $$ for its return. Paypal found in my favor that this was fraud, but insisted that i pay for return since their policy. I will never use paypal again for purchase of any large item. As in the news, beware of anything made in china (E.G. Chinese drywall) due to potential serious health issues. Owner has said repeatedly for over 6 months that he will arrange for product pickup, but never happens. Thank god i used my american express card with payal, and now ax is dealing with them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I too purchased a water bed mattress from www.my-waterbed-shop.com. He will not honor his published return policy. His responses over several weeks of communication ranged from this is a special order and cannot be returned, to I must pay shipping times 4, two coming and two going, plus an additional 120 dollars restocking fee.. The bed was the wrong size, whether this error was their fault or mine will obviously be debated in their following comments. Luckily I contacted the manufacturer on the label of the matress and they immediately made the matress up free of charge. This shows malice and deception with the intent to defraud additional money from me, as the manufacturer was willing to readily take this one back, with the payment of shipping only. I was always eagerly ready to do this just not times 4!

I disagree with the horrible review from jumbojax. It scared the crap out of me AFTER i had already purchased my mattress, etc. Steve called me personally to reassure me that his business is legit and not a scam. The products I received were perfectly packaged, and perfect in every way. Good quality mattress. They also sent me duplicate warranty info after I mistakenly trashed the originals. I am entirely satisfied.
My-waterbed-shop.com does not sell Chinese made waterbeds. They only sell waterbeds made in the USA by United States Water Mattress in Baltimore Maryland. The above dispute was created by JumboJax so that he could receive his money back after using the product and failing to have it boxed and ready for pickup for 6 months.
A product does not have to be 100% American made to be considered American Made. The entire product was American made except the tubes. So it qualifies as American made. We offered to replace the tubes with American Made tubes and Jumbo Jax refused the offer. Worst customer in 20 years of online business. By the way we have sold over 50, 000 customers and he is the primary complaint against us. I say Seller beware.
I would never buy from this site again either. They have a 35% restocking fee if you want to return anything plus you have to pay for the original shipping. That information is pretty much buried. I am sorry I bought the air mattress replacement from them and now I am stuck. They charged another $20.00 for the adapter which I did not realize I needed until I got the original air mattress. Of course, I also attribute shopping at this site to the fact that Select Comfort does not sell replacements for their own products. So, buyer beware of this site and never buy a Select comfort product either.
As with the above comments, my experience with Steve Yelds and My Water Bed Shop was 100% GREAT!Customer service was EXCELLENT! !Everthing delivered as promised. I ordered a US made, US Mattress and that is what I got. No issues with type of payment. I used a Visa card. I suspect the complaint made is false or vindictive.
Basically, they don't fit and I'd like to return them.
Sounds like u inspected it. he would hav told u to cut the valve out. And mail it back. If u filled it. Well duh. Why . He takes them back with no problems .. your story doesn't add up.
I too purchased a waterbed frame and all the fixings. I don't see how this could be true. I also had a prob w.my mattress and all I had todo was call...I was instructed to cut out the valve with the special tag, and mail it back. It cost me about $5...With this I was mailed a new mattress within DAYS!. So I'm uncertain as to where you came up with story...Being stuck for large quanities of $$ an such. Your story sounds just like that. A story. This "Family" has and still is working with me on my bed because I'm ordering more items. Very nice people. He even through in extras for me. So I'm sorry. I believe the above comment in fiction...To also mention. Which I will. I was told IF I had any problems I could call him or his wife at any time day or night. A simply email, with a quick reply was justified.
