Attempted to access my health provider's website via a trusted email I received from them. Message was that I was denied access, needed to provide positive identification, and the number is [protected]. Please note that the actual number for my provider is [protected]. I really wanted to access my provider so I blindly called their number, and to prove my identity I needed to provide my credit card, which I stupidly did. I incurred a charge of $3.95 which is perhaps recurring. I contacted my credit card company to reverse that charge and to block further charges from MVQ*Your ID Solution. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
Desired outcome: Alert other senior citizens to this method of trickery and warn to never give out your credit card info even if you think you are talking to your provider.
