Muller Reporting (Mueller Services, Inc.) is a poisoned well, avoid this company at all costs. I was hired through Indeed as a part time employee, just what I wanted. On ‘day one’ a Mueller official said to me and all others on the call that we would be 'terminated' if we did not immediately do what he wanted. I did not know at that time that this 'termination' threat permeates the entire corporate apparatus. My next contact (day 2) was an initial HR person who emailed (I have all of these emails saved) me saying that I needed to complete paperwork in the link provided immediately or I would be terminated. My next contact was another HR rep who again mentioned termination if her demands where not immediately met or if forms were incomplete or filled out in error. My next contact was my direct report supervisor who immediately began the hard sell of conducting inspections even though he knew that none my equipment had arrived and that I had almost no training (this was day 2/3). On day three I was in the field conducting my first home inspection (this is for home owner insurance purposes) with zero guidance and almost no training. Whenever I would contact my supervisor about some aspect of the App (called the Phoenix app) he would always say, didn't you watch the video? Mueller does not pair you with a seasoned inspector the first week or two so that a novice inspector can shadow someone and learn from them; you are told to watch a video then thrown into inspections, literally. The Phoenix app is built for the Android platform so if you have an iPhone it does not work well, in fact, the sketch part of the app did not work on my iPhone 13 at all and after talking to the helpline I was told to go buy an Android (with my own funds) and that would fix the problem. With Muller you use your own phone, your own printer, your own PC, your own car, etc... The Mueller Inspecting job is nothing more than a gig job. On day seven I was out in 111-degree heat and on my 4th home inspection when I got an email from my supervisor (he was at home in the A/C) saying that if I did not complete a minimum of 20 hours that week I would be terminated, everyone at Mueller uses the word "terminated." Because of home prep time, in order to get 20 hours per week you actually need to work 30+ hours but not paid for that time. I was told that if I was not efficient on site (they give you about 10 minutes per house when it takes 35-40 or more) that I would be terminated. Prep time at home before you go onsite is significant because you must call homeowners (they never answer their phone), plus all types of research for the nearest fire department, homeowner questionaries to complete, etc. You're not allowed to claim any home prep time into your hours for pay. Instead, your told to add that time to your onsite time; however, if you add that time to onsite you will be 'terminated' for 'not being efficient.' The entire company's business model is built upon threats, low pay, free labor and the indifference to their field inspector labor force. All of their business principles revolve around this predatory practice. Mueller reporting is NOT a place to be employed, they have no loyalty, a toxic culture, bad managers, a bad help desk, no training program and complete indifference to the field inspector.

Country of complaint: United States

Desired outcome: I only want potential employees to understand the truth about Mueller Reporting.
