Mr. Howell was hired to build (4) Sets of Brick Steps. He started by pouring concrete on the ground for the Footings and spraying them with water. These
Footings were very inconsistent, ranging from 1" to 2" in thickness, and lacking the structural integrity it would require serving as a base for Masonry Steps.
The concrete he laid down, had to be demolished and reinstalled correctly. He was in the process of installing a set of steps, the Masonry that had been installed did not conform to Masonry Standards. The Coursing varied in size, with some of the joints over one inch in Thickness. The Coursing was off, it did
not conform to Masonry Standards. Not a single line of Bricks was level or straight. Most of the Bricks were leaning and not level. Once Mr. Howell delivered a load of Material to the job site, I paid him $3,300.00. I have an Invoice from who took over the job, that the total amount for the Material already on the job site was $504.00. The cost to demo the inferior work was $600.00.
I am looking for Mr. Howell to repay me $3,000.00.
I have made several attempts to settle this matter with Mr. Howell.
I have received NO response in return.
Desired outcome: Refund of $3,000.00.
