Meridian School Madhapur, Hyderabad review: Urgent complaint regarding violation of CBSE examination timings – request for immediate action and written response

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally report a serious violation of CBSE examination protocols at my examination centre.

As per CBSE guidelines, question papers are to be distributed at 10:15 a.m., followed by 15 minutes of mandatory reading time, with writing commencing at 10:30 a.m.

However, at our centre, the question papers were distributed only a few minutes after 10:30 a.m., and no reading time was provided. Despite the delay, the examination did not conclude at the appropriate extended time of 1:45 p.m., and answer sheets were collected earlier.

The denial of the mandatory reading time and the improper management of examination duration is a serious deviation from CBSE’s prescribed procedure. The reading period is critical for students to review the paper and plan their responses. Its absence may have adversely impacted student performance.

Board examinations significantly influence students’ academic futures. Therefore, strict adherence to official protocols is essential to ensure fairness and transparency.

I respectfully request that this matter be urgently investigated and that necessary corrective action be taken to prevent recurrence in the upcoming examinations. I also request a written acknowledgement of this complaint and information regarding the action taken.

I trust that the Board will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves.
